Re: Ahmedis?
Hazrat Mohammad (SA) had prophesized the coming of a Messiah, and given him the title of “Jesus” who will guide/lead Muslims out of darkness and fight Dajjal, the Anti-Christ. Ahmadies believe that that Messiah has already appeared with all his signs, his name is Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (AS), to fight one-eyed Dajjal, who is also here. Non-Ahmadi Muslims (like many on this forum) believe that that Messiah has not yet appeared, and it will be Jesus of Nazareth, the same man, the same prophet, who will descend from sky (literally) on shoulder of 2 angels on some mosque in Middle East. They believe that he (AS) is still alive “up” in heavens (where is “up there”? don’t even ask!).
While their theory keeps changing from time to time, and from person to person depending on which Mullah they believe in, majority of Non-Ahmadi Muslims say that there can be no prophet after Hazrat Muhammad(SA) except Jesus(AS) who is an old prophet, not a new one, thus Muhammad(SA) remains the last prophet in time line. When they are reminded that second time Jesus(AS) will be here (according to their beliefs) he(AS) will be assigned to different Ummah/Nation and given a new mission, and thus might be the same old person, but definitely not the old prophet, they say that it is the same old mission, a reply which does not make any sense (or at least I have not been able to understand).
So as you can see, there is no difference in ideologies. They believe in the prophesy of Hazrat Mohammad(SA) about coming of Messiah, as do the Ahmadies. The difference is that they believe that he is yet to come and will be Jesus of Nazareth in person descending from sky, on angels’ shoulder on a certain mosque in Middle East. We believe it is Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (AS) who has been assigned the title of “Jesus” and has already appeared. Yet the some Pakistani politicians, with blessings of some anti-Ahmadi mullahs have decided to declare them non-Muslims, something that even Holy Prophet(SA) never did to a kalima reciter.
Hope all this makes sense.
