Ahmedinejad's letter

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

The similarities between Bush and Ahmednejad are striking...

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

Isn't the response of many guppies here and that of Saddam earlier was very similar..... before Iraq war.....

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

^ yep, read post # 12 :)

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

Ahmedinijad sounds like a fun guy now :p
This has been too interesting :D

He's obviously not stupid enough to think this letter would solve everything, but what this letter has done is that millions of ppl all across the world have found time to read a summary of problems and grievances the muslim world seems to have (which everyone mentions but no one lists, dissects or discusses in one place to refresh older memories or to educate the newer minds)...many will ridicule it, some might sit down and think...Perhaps the letter, as a mere letter, has served its sole purpose...

The smart reality though remains that Bush is a bully and Ahmedinijad an adventurous kid, to save everyone he should stay safe and not act invincible.

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

What else can you expect from the head of a fundamentalist shia country

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

this new iranian president is a worthy successor to the late nutjob khomeini

Re: Ahmedinejad’s letter

:k: excellent move by the guy to highlight Iran’s stance. He said most of the things i would’ve loved to say had i half chance. Whether bush dismisses it or responds is beside the point now (it might take while before hes finished reading actually). Obviously, double standard is not an issue they wish to respond to. Ahmadinejaad however, wanted to get his point across to the world, and he did that pretty well. Many across the world would prolly agree with most of what he has to say.

The funny thing is the one thing bush and co eagerly waiting for in the letter, the biggest issue on the agenda, there’s no mention of, not directly at all. Now theres a backhanded punch if there ever was one. :hehe:

The guy is full of surprises.

Re: Ahmedinejad’s letter

The only @ss he is kicking is that of his own soldiers.
Just look at his poll-ratings.

Re: Ahmedinejad’s letter

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

That's the difference. A tamasha (stage act) will say things like Maulvi of local Mohalla (street lingo).

A statesman on the other hand puts his country's safety first. Just like Saddam, Nejad is harping on street lingo.

The guy is full of Mullahtic $hite. He says the same thing as a typical beardo from Cairo streets, or some dust laden Mullah from Afghan cave.

Nuclear games put the stakes on much higher plateau. Anyone wanting to play the games needs to use his head on a higher scale as well.

The bottom line is not to win a Sindhis style Mullakhra. Prosperity and safety of Iranian people must come first.

Exactly. For bush and co, playing games is all it is. Playing with people lives that is. Whats the point of diplomacy if it means hiding behind a facade? Thats why most people are sick of politicians and thier lies. Ahmadinijaad's is blunt and very unPC, but his honesty is much more appreciated than the BS coming out of the whitehouse these days.

In the political world, its like a breath of fresh air and right now we could do we alot more of that.

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

What a pile of crap Ma.

For years the Iranians hid a secret nuclear program that was in huge violation of the Non-Proliferation Treaty that they signed. It was only when Iranian dissident groups disclosed secret nuclear locations to the IAEA that the full extent of the Iranian program became known. Once the details of the AQ Khan network were found out, it was apparent that the nuclear program in Iran was running full tilt in pursuit of weapons.

So please do not paint the Iranians as a "breath of fresh air". They are liars and they are in pursuit of military power instead of educating their people and creating jobs. If you would hold Muslim leaders to the same standards as the West, you might make some progress. Anybody ask the Iranians lately why they lied about WMD for decades to the world community? Start with that... Just because President Bumpkinijad parrots the complaint of the liberal west does not mean he is doeing the best thing for his people.

My bottom line is that I do not trust the Mullahs running Iran. I do not trust them or president Nutjob on the trigger of a nuclear weapon. We should not give him the right to induce a regional nuclear war, and to incite world chaos.

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

A very suave move by Ahmedinejad...He is a statesman of the highest calibre and this letter proves it...

As of this moment he has brought to light to millions of people through this letter, even in the American press, the eagerness of the American government to subdue liberty and silence dissent around the world. It highlights sentiments of not only the Muslim world but the silent majority of billions of people whose request and exhortations against war was trampled beneath the first cruise missiles to hit Iraq...

It joins together the mass of humanity that sees the duplicity of the US government and its vicious aggressions against lesser nations as nothing more than an an empire bent on colonisation...

It clearly states in open terms what everyone knew but were afraid to say: America is a cowardly bully which fears the strength of others and is willing to resort to genocide if necessary...

I applaud Iran's desire to its right to become a nuclear power in the face of such hypocritical opposition...

Iran has every right, liberty and responsibility to safeguard the well being of its population and to advance in any way it sees fit its desire to pursue anything as an absolutely sovereign nation as dictated in every charter of the nations...Only people with slave mentalities will fail to see that...

Subjugation by the threat of force and destruction by the US is nothing new...However the stance being taken by Iran is...It is the standing up of a nation to face a far more belligerent, malevolent and powerful nation to pursue its right...

I applaud Iran for that and also Ahmedinejad for bringing up his nation's desire to be independent and his firm resolution to stand against aggressive threats and bullying from a nation full of genocidal tendencies...

Way to go Ahmedinejad...

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

persuit of weapons is not really 'apparent' at the moment. lets try that one again.

Its not a case of 'muslim' vs 'western leaders', i cant generalise on either because everyone is different. What i can do is judge them (bush and 'dinijaad) individually on thier words and action and according to their situation, and so far, ahmadinijaad is winning hands down each time.

Thats your problem OG. you dont trust 'different' people to you full stop. And its your prejudice that holds you back. Not long ago you told me you dont like a certain islamic website, because the large images of the turban and bearded men put you off. As surprised as i was at your comments, it took me a while to realise the mentality you had towards these people was based purely on their different looks and clothing. yet you didnt know the first thing about them.

That attitude reflects your whole outlook you have with regards to muslims who are not 'westernised'. Hence the paranoia is breeding out of pig ignorance.

Re: Ahmedinejad’s letter

 you win the oscar award, the world does rotate around you.

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

I read the title and wanted to find out about the contents of the letter. Would it be possible if someone can summarize it for me, please?

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

No Ma. Proliferation is bad. It is bad for our children. I would also be against Mexico, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and any number of other countries obtaining Nuclear weapons. Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea have extremely advanced scientific and industrial bases, and could build and assemble a weapon very quickly, and all of them have natural enemies that would justify them obtaining a weapon. The treaty that the IAEA is trying to enforce is a valuable one for the world, for Christian children and Muslim children.

Iran is a repressive tyranical regime. That is the basis on which I make a decision, not some projection of prejudice that you might percieve. No good can come of Iran with a nuclear weapon. The odds of them issuing nuclear ultimatums is high. The real problem is a growing difference between Islamic countries and Western countries about the reality of nuclear weapons. The Islamic world looks at it like an extra set of testicles, a sign of manhood demanding respect. The West sees the likelyhood of misunderstandings, chaotic exchanges, and confrontations, and is long past the macho posturings.

Here is Iran, one of the least educated and most backward countries in the world blessed with oil wealth, and what do they do? Rather than create what Dubai has, a business center welcoming all cultures, Iran has done the typically stupid thing of pumping money into the military, and into nuclear power while unemployment is 30% or more in their youth. Brilliant.

They are just frikkin' stupid.

And Muslims who are just dying to see someone, anyone, stand up to the US are rooting on this confrontation instead of objectively looking at the leadership of Iran and it's horrible Human Rights record and asking questions. The leadership of Iran has run their economy into the ground in the same way the Palestinians have. Then to cover their butts they start a program of nationalistic pride to cover their failures. President Nutjob may have a big loud mouth, that excites the Muslims masses and makes them all tingly that someone is standing up for them, but when all the pi$$ing is over everyone will realize that Iran has squandered it's oil wealth, and they are no better off after all the bravdo and bluster. Ask the impoverished Palestinians if macho Jihad is all it's cracked up to be.....

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

Its a bizzare approach by Iran's President who, like President Bush, is appealing to his radical base. He won the election narrowly because of that base. Is this a desperation act or some good sense on Ahmedinejad part? On the other hand, Bush's ratings are going down and elections are coming up...does this ring a bell?

The bottom line is a nuclear program is not in violation of the U.N. Charter, is not in violation of the NPT, and is an internationally agreed upon right of nations to pursue.

President Bush is putting Iran on the same scale as Iraq. 'They have weapons, we know that, we know where they are, they want to hit us, we have to hit them before they do. They are funny looking, 9/11, terror terror terror....run for you life AMeiiiiiKKKaaaaAAA!!!!'

Americans are innocent with their freedom and ****....Iran guilty until proven innocent. This and other things are coming up very soon to your national news station. Stay tune...!

Re: Ahmedinejad's letter

Ahem.

The discovery of two large undeclared nuclear sites in 2003 was a huge violation of the NPT. Get your facts straight. And why would a country have two huge undeclared nuclear sites? Hum?

The only reason the world knows about a huge clandestine program is that Islamic Resistance organizations exposed the two sites. That is why there is so little trust even among the Europeans.

Re: Ahmedinejad’s letter

What is “trust”? Was it the same trust that Kurds had in “some” powerful country against some “tyrannical” ruler? :hmmm:
