And what might those verbal threats be? I have not heard an Israeli leader say that they will wipe Iran off the map, which they have the capability to do. I have not heard Zionist call for the destruction of Iran. I have not heard Israel say it is going to send in holy warriors. Israel has not made any threats.

Whilst Isreal has its mouthpiece (america) to do its dirty work on a larger scale, however, she has on a numerous occasion threatened to attack Iran over the non existant nukes, and Bush has agreed to sit by and watch. looking at Israel history, it would be naive to ignore these threats, hence why 'dinijaad is pretty much reacting in defense. And you would know all this had you bothered to broaden your horizons a tad bit to get the real picture.

Secondly, with israel already having nuclear weapons, with foriegn forces in neigbouring Iraq, afganistan, and other arab countries, it would only be natural that iran is feeling isolated and under threat, hence it is not unreasonable of them to act defensively or even think about acquiring nukes for the sake of detterent. Whether they intend to or not at present, is another issue altogether.

Like Ohioguy said, Muslims refuse to look at their own leaders and world with any critical thought. Nutjob here wants to divert attention away from a failed revolution. Iran predicts that within 2 years, if the current trends hold up, the youth unemployment rate will be over 50%. How will nuclear weapons help them then? Rightnow 34% of people 25-29 are unemployed. Nutjob’s barking has more to do with the states failure than anythign else. He and his mullah puppet masters can only hide behind the zionist conspiracy for so long.

President Ahmadinijaad was elected on the basis of his work for the poorer working class in tehran. Infact, it was mainly the poorer provinces that voted him in. And he was the same guy nominated for the top world Mayor in 2005. So if anyone is in tune with the needs of the average iranian people, it would be him and not some random nutcase vying for thier death inorder to liberate them. Neither some warmongerer sitting thousand of miles away trying to assume what is going on in Iran through some second hand sources. Do not try and preach to someone whose prolly done more for iranians than you could ever fathom. get off your bleedin high horse already.

Final point; obviously you are unaware of the facts that the nukes issue is not solely in hands of Ahmadinjaad’s. Ayatullah Khamanei is the spiritual leader of Iran, and has long given a fatwa against Nuclear weapons stating that* only savages wanting destruction of humanity, would chase such formidable weapons*, and by looking at who does have them already, by God, he aint half right.
