are mainstream muslims (ie sunnis) allowed to eat at the house of an ahmadi/mirzai…like apparently we’re allowed 2 eat kosher, so i assume that their meat, which is halal (?) must be okay for us to eat?
Re: Ahmadis
I am sorry, I don't know of anything called Ahmadis. All the sects of Muslims are Mohammadis and Ahmadis because they believe in Prophet Muhammad (saw) whose second name was Ahmad.
If you are talking of followers of MGA, than we may call them either "followers of MGA" or "Mirzai" as Mirza was part of name of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed.
I don't know if it is allowed to eat with them. May be some scholar can share an authentic hadith.

^ I understand your point, but following is the reason:

Re: Ahmadis
Ahmadis call themselves ahmadis because they consider Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad AS to be an imam Mahdi. this name is to NOT differentiate them with Muslims, since Ahmad was one of Muhammad SAW's name as well. Hence, callin them something other than Ahmadi Muslim will be offensive to them.
As per your question.. They're Muslims too, eat with them , and invite them to eat with you. If you dont feel comfortable eating with them, by all means avoid it. Personal choice.

You are allowed to eat with any human being, as long as the food is clean and (certified) halaal, you have to make sure of that yourself.

Well said and I agree 100%. Thinking otherwise would be wrong and BIDDAT.
And I am not saying this because I been eating with Ahmadis for years ...

So who ever comes up with a sir name or a family name related to our Prophet is supposed to be an authentic.
Grow up kiddo!
Re: Ahmadis
alright, lets put it this way. When Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad AS received revelations from Allah the almighty, He was addressed as Ahmad. Hence, the name Ahmadi.
so you say whoever doesnt come up with a sir name or family name related to our prophet is unauthentic?..
Re: Ahmadis
test
Re: Ahmadis
lets try another one lol..
if you or anyone named Isa or Moosa, it doesnt automatically make you christian or jew. You keep this name because they were prophet's name.. same is the case with Mirza Ghulam Ahmad AS. Name itself means servent of Ahmad. How can the follower of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad AS be called the follower of Ghulam Ahmad AS , when he Himself was a servent of Ahmad (Muhammad PBUH)? Ahmadis are the servent of the servent of Ahmad (Muhammad PBUH). Name Ahmad applies to Muhammad PBUH as well as Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad AS. Taking the meaning of Ahmadi would simply mean follower of Hazrat Mustafa SAW as well as Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad AS.
Calling them Mirzai would hurt them because it is a misleading term, and would imlpy only if ahmadis were followers of Ghulam Ahmad AS and not followers of Hazrat Muhammad PBUH.
Calling them Qadiyanis doesnt make sense at all, since the term Qadiyani is only implied to those who're from that city, just as if resident of Lahore would be called Lahorie, or Multan for Multani etc.. Thus Qadiyani would refer to where they are from rather than who they are. There are many qadiyanis who are not ahmadis, just like there are many Lahories who are not sunnis..
conclusion .. best to refer to them as Ahmadis.
PS: this topic is not about what they should be called. My response to this topic has been given above. No more reply from my side now, which will start getting off topic.
PS: also, his death has been talked about here.. please use the search option.
Re: Ahmadis
this idea of you are better than other humans and cant eat with them is a very hindu brahminical concept.

Yaar, to be very honest, every time I talk to a 'followers of MGA' I come to know of a different story. It sounds similar to Christians contradicting each others from their own version of bible.
If I am wrong, please than clarify how many subdivisions exists among followers of MGA.
Thanks
Re: Ahmadis
There is no different story my friend. There were 2 subdivisions amongst the ahmadiyya jamaat.. out of which one was commonly known as the lahori group. Though, now its few to none. There is alhumdulillah no division within the ahmadiyya jamaat. Ahmadi Muslims have just slightly different beliefs then the mainstream Muslims. Just like how shia group have subdivision within themselves, and yet all of them are considered Muslims, same can be said for Ahmadiyya jamaat as well, though as i said earlier, lahorie group as they used to known as is like a small in an ocean.
There is no different story to it. No Ahmadi will be ok with anyone calling them other than Ahmadi, if not Ahmadi Muslim.
Re: Ahmadis
I am no mufti, but the logic says that if they buy their meat from halal shop then the meat is halal .
Re: Ahmadis
neither am i a mufti, i say if they buy their meat from halal shop then they're following what Muhammad PBUH said. Followers of Muhammad PBUH are Muslims and fellow muslims are encouraged to eat together, as it brings barkaah in rizq

Popat, that is not the right logic yaar, I know many hindus who buy meat from halal shops
Re: Ahmadis
But is it because of the reason to follow Islam ? is it because of the reason that they want to obey the teachings of Muhammad PBUH? if so, then yes my logic is wrong.
Re: Ahmadis
For everyone:
Follow these rules:
1- When in doubt, leave it aside.
2- Anything is allowed if there is risk of dying of hunger.
3- Remember, Halal does not mean Zabiha. **
Halal** is chicken, goat, beef, camel meat, lamb, fish, birds, etc. (not dog, pig, lion, alcohol etc).
Zabiha refers, how a halal animal was slaughtered, except fish off course.
*Hope this issue of eating Halal, zabiha, kosher, ahmadi food, Shea food, islamic food, unislamic food ends here.
*
I wonder those who keep blowing everyone up, who are they followers of?...ummm...devil.
No it best that followers of devil don’t eat at Ahmadis.
What is your point?
