I for one am shocked by this decision. Odd considering when it comes to defending Pakistan, all of you turn tail and run. But for Ahmadi threads you have this specific rule in place.
I find the rule condemnable and a violation of my freedom of speech. Something which your owners has regularly used to allow discussions that defame Islam and Pakistan. So why not the same case here?
Why is the case for Ahmadis so special that this rule is in place? I remember when the Cartoons were pasted on this website and only after a whole lot of complaining did you lot decide not to have them allowed on the website.
They seem to be learning well from the good old US of A. Kinda like GS actually. Do what is necessary to make a small negative minority happy and screw the local Muslim populace.
You go and insult someones religious leader in the name of freedom of speech, but when they come and insult your leader in return, you will question mgmt that why people are doing so.
Ah the old "playing dumb" trick. The rule specifically limiting discussion on Ahmadis is playing favorites. Apply the rule across the board or don't have it at all.
Yes CM, I am playing dumb just to protect Ahmadis ..
khush?
and it was really fun watching you guys on each others throat all the times and mods to chase each post to edit/remove objectionable material ..I miss those times but kiya kerain, I have to protect ahmadis.
I've lurked in the Ahmadi threads and the amount of vitriol by posters is unbelievable! Whether you agree with someone's religious beliefs or not - the discussion should be constructive and not insulting - which unfortunately, it never was.
I for one, applaud the decision to censor the threads.
TLK and CM i don't wanna be a kebab mein haddi but I get what both of you are saying.
TLK is right by saying insulting someone's beliefs is NOT freedom of speech.
CM is right by saying why allow other users to laugh at hadiths? Why allow them to make fun of quotes from Quran.
THIS is why I don't go to religious forum. There are a lot of atheists on this website (sadly, pakis) who have laughed many times at the Quran, at our Prophet s.a.w, even at the word "Allah". And their excuse is: "They are questioning because they wanna learn" .... Well then listen!! Instead of presenting your biased views on Islam! Some of them jst want to express their harsh views, they couldn't care less about learning.
I think that forum should only allow legitemate questions by muslims. Atheists and other religions can go talk to scholars if they wanna have a debate or are "so lost".

Thanks Sehrysh, that is exactly the point. I am not ahmadi but I fail to see that whenever people start losing argument, they start discussing how this leader or that leader died in bathroom as it really matters. If the debate is happening at intelligent level, go ahead carry on, but the reason of the ban on that topic is because it never happened at that level.

.
Trouble makers can hide behind "we are questioning because we wanna learn" logic only for so long. Problem with agendas is that they cant be kept hidden for long. People with agenda eventually expose themselves in time and then get banned
Now you are simply using sarcasm to avoid the original question. Why the special rule for Ahmadis? Why doesn't this apply across the board?
CM, you are a pretty intelligent person. I know that you know the answer and I know that you know that I know that right now you are just arguing for the heck of it. You get a little kick out of raising controversial issues.
and btw, the rule applies across the board, just at different levels. We have the similar rule about political leaders in PA.
Yeah bull****. I don't know the answer. I know your answer but that would be something Karl Rove would come up with.
This is targeting a specific minority for no justifiable reason. The Holy Prophet is insulted and people are allowed to do so. Pakistan is insulted and the moderators do nothing. People regularly insult and mock Islam and nothing happens.
You know how I know this to be true? I just read the PA and WA forums on any give day of the week and the Moderators have officially said this is all kosher.
Astaghfarullah. Topic on Prophet Mohammed was never allowed to be discussed in any insulting manner on this site. Please dont make things up. If you think that someone’s belief system is an insult to Prophet then you know that someones belief system is not something that GS can control
CM, as much as I support you on this point, there needs to be some "common ground" on this issue. People from both sides (me included) love to participate in the Ahmadi threads but we some time get out of line and start insulting, which btw happens in every single Ahmadi thread. I guess we can't help it lol
Maybe the administration can create a new forum for "controversial topics", if any member gets 3 strikes he would be banned from said forum.. that type of system works on most other forums.
TLK ignoring the question again. Why is there a specific rule for Ahmadis?
CP I care for what the rules are as long as they are applied across the board. If they apply to one sect heretic or not they should apply to all.
And TLK read up on those ahmadi threads and then say people do not insult the Holy Prophet.
First of all, all the rules are not applicable for each forum. You can advertise your website in classified but not in any other forum, you can start a post with just an image or video (without any further comment) in video gallery but not in PA.
Ahmadis insulting prophet? I am not sure why would they do that? Prophet is prophet per their belief too, just not the last prophet. Anywhich way, if you see that happening, you can always report the post or start a thread here or PM Lusi or other mods.
Sorry dude, as much its violating your right of freedom of speech, the rule is going to stay. Maybe you know how to carry a conversation without throwing insults but not everyone can, so if it gives you any comfort, let me assure you that rule is not for you, its there to stop others.
and btw, last thought. You keep saying that I am protecting ahmadis. is this your way of admitting that ahmadis were attacked by non-ahmadis, hence the protection?

there are different rules for qadianis cause the sort of stuff mirza sahab left behind is impossbile to defend like the fastest angel teechi teechi, mithan lal the clerk angel, darshani the british angel so they get offended and the thread goes out of control.i have been requesting qadiani brothers to kindly forward me some info on hazrat teechi teechi the fastest angel of mirza sahab like how many times he came on mirza sahab, what did he looked like and how many wings he had but no one is comming forward and i cant create a thread cause it will be locked.
CM,
it seems you really have issues with ahmadis.. there have been many many threads about various topics related to Ahmadis in the past.. and unfortunately, it always ends up in heated arguments. As much as i love to learn from other people here and convey the true Ahmadiyya beliefs to general sunni population and let them have their say.. it just never works out. Its probably in our genes to let others down and always and always try to make your own beliefs seem logical and in accordance with Islam, but we just forget to measure our own character based on the true teachings of Islam... that is to tolerate other beliefs and respect them for who they are.
Recently, if you see the thread regarding Ahmadis in All Views, one member (not going to disclose his/her name) saying all the non sense about how it is ok to kill Ahmadis, and how this is what the true teaching of Islam is.. put yourself in Ahmadis shoes for once and see what you feel when you read people saying to kill ahmadis.
As i said, im all up for discussion, but those discussion should mean something...and should not end up bringing eachother down. We should have such a big heart to accept that what we have been followin is not correct, that is, if it is proven from Quran and hadith etc.. but what do we do?.. we start attacking other people's beliefs which i frankly dont like.
If only people here were tolerant enough to understand Ahmadi Muslim's beliefs....they dont have to accept it to be right.. but atleast just for once listen to what they say and then make up your mind.. but alas, we get to see a lot of hatred everywhere for Ahmadis..
PS: you are free to PM me with any question you have about Ahmadis...i'll be more than happy to answer with the little knowledge that i have about Islam.
