Ahle Tashi doing Matam

:salam:

As Muslims we need to know where to draw the line & here is a perfect example of how one goes against the teachings of Islam & the sunnah of Hazrat Mohammad (Salallaho Aliye Wasalam).

Hazrat Ali (RA), Imam Hasan (RA), Imam Hussein (RA) or any members of the Ahlul Bait (RaziAllah Anhum) did not tell us to remember them in such manner and abuse our body which is the imanat of Allah.

I decided against posting the chain matam/azadari as that is too gruesome.

In a word, yes. And it's Ahle Tashiyyo.

Re: Ahle Tashi doing Matam

In a word NO and it's Ahle Tashi.

Re: Ahle Tashi doing Matam

^ Why ask if you knew it already

BTW thanx for sharing a beautiful Noha.

Re: Ahle Tashi doing Matam

NOT asking sharing with all. As a sunni I love listening to nohay myself, got no problem with the praised poetry just these uncalled for practices that the Ahle Tashi invented.

My dear I hope you now feel relieved and enlightened after sharing this with us.

Iyyaka Na Budu Wa Iyyaka Nastaeen

Aww, poor baby. Too bad the Ahle Tashiyyo didn't invent beheading that Sunnis invented. Now since your mission in creating this thread was clearly fitnah, are you satisfied?

And by the way I have seen Wahabis do matam for their terrorist leader Azam Tariq, and I have seen Palestinian Sunnis do matam when I lived in Lebanon. I am sure Palestinians are doing matam today because of the atrocities in Gaza.

This is an Arabic cultural tradition, not strictly a AHLE TASHIYYO one.

Nohay are not praised poetry, they describe the incidents. Just like the Noha you shared.

Lo Musalmano Khamosh ho gai Zahra
Zakhm pehlu maiN liyay, aaj sogai Zahra.

Do you know what is the history behind only this part of the noha? As a sunni you love listening to Nohay but dont just stop there. Show your gratitude to these personalities by understaning the event. Do it as a Muslim who loves his Prophat (s) and his family.

Ok, heres a request. Take what ever time you want. Do some research and share with us what you learn from the part of Noha I posted above.

Good Luck!

Re: Ahle Tashi doing Matam

well now that you've got that off your chest, can you post more nohe videos?

Thanks

Yeah I chose the wrong words, that what's I mean't. I have nothing but the utmost respect for the Ahlul Bait (Razi Allah Anhum) and their sacrifices for the sake of Islam In Karbala. Don't try and patronise me.

You have a lot of growing up to do MM. Still haven't changed one bit over the years.

Yes, Ma Mooli. Why aren't you spreading fitnah like LUC?

Re: Ahle Tashi doing Matam

say what? maybe i should throw a tantrum over your insults.... would that be grown up enough for you?

Re: Ahle Tashi doing Matam

let us chat- if we were to start posting videos of ppl belonging to Ahle Sunnat Wa Jamat doing stuff "against the teachings of Islam" then this thread cud become the biggest ever in the history of GS> i hope u understand my point and refrain frm inflaming things.

Re: Ahle Tashi doing Matam

both groups know its wrong, just some bad people that go out and do this kind of stuff.. end of discussion.

Edited: Please no bad word for anyone.

Dude! why you calling her an idiot? :nono:

Thats one good noha she posted :jazak:

Re: Ahle Tashi doing Matam

i like this nauha. And nothing wrong with hurting the body in grief. Anyways, thanks for your input.

Re: Ahle Tashi doing Matam

Wait a minute guys. I am sunni and very strictly follow that sect but I have a question.

Why Shia people's act of Maatam is so objectionable? Why does it bother us so much? I dont think that its their sixth rukn of islam or even obligatory to do mataam, so why should we make an issue out of that?

Re: Ahle Tashi doing Matam

^ u r right bro. Just look at the trance dance Naqshabandi sunnis do. It looks crazy but i am educated enough to respect and tolerate other Muslim brothers:

As far as I know I haven’t insulted anybody.

Why not post those videos as well, haven’t got a problem with that. Not trying to inflame things, that’s just the way you are looking at this topic.

This is just what was done in the days of Ignorance and Prophet Mohammad (Salallaho Aliye Wasalam) said you are not one of us if you do that.

I have been to naqshabandi mehfils in various parts of England for a number of years and what you have posted isn’t practised here.
