Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

I am looking for some lectures on the events of Karbala, the martydom and the aftermath in Sham from the Ahle-Sunnah ulemas/lecturers.

I heard that such lectures do take place in Pakistan during Muharram period.

I want to download and listen to them. It would be appreciated if it’s in MP3 or WMA format.

Waiting for positive replies.

Thank you.

If you wish to hear the position of Hz. Hassan and Hz. Hussain :razi2: in Sunni Islam, listen to Sheikh Tariq Jamil…

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

I just wanted to comment…

The first one “Vol 030 Karbala Part 001.mp3”](http://server1.aswatalislam.net/Audios/Lectures/Alama%20Anwar%20Ul%20Mustafa%20Hamdami/Alama%20Anwar%20Ul%20Mustafa%20Hamdami%20-%20Vol%20030%20Karbala%20Part%20001.mp3)

I listened to this one, it’s not very loud unfortunately, only in the middle 20 minutes I can hear clearly. This lecture is surprising to me, Hazrat Ali a.s, Hazrat Hassan a.s. and Hazrat Hussain a.s. are referred to as Moula repeatedly by the lecturer. He also says that Bibi Fatima a.s. is the sardar of Jannah and his 2 sons are the shazadays of Jannah. If I remember correctly some ppl on this board were against the use of the word Moula. Also, some time back someone started a topic

http://www.paklinks.com/gs/showthread.php?t=206384&highlight=Fatima

which seem to contradict what the lecturer is saying.

There’s also the mention of the power of Naray Haidery. He said that during the India-Pakistan war, some jawan fojee mujaheedeen shouted the Naray Haidery and 4 Hindus/Sikhs the enemies of Pakistan and Islam died on the spot. If I heard it correct he also mentioned that Angel Gabriel came to congratulate the Prophet s.a.w. on the birth of Hazrat Hassan a.s.

^Now, that’s another surprise for me.

He mentioned this riwayaat where Hazrat Hassan a.s. was with Abdullah ibn Zubair (if I got the name correct) and they passed some date trees but there were no dates. Abdullah commented it would be good if they could get some dates to eat. Hazrat Hassan a.s. did a dua and the tree was filled with dates. Someone saw this and said that he was a jadoo-ghar. Abdullah said " Ae nadaan, teray ko malum nahin ya Mustafa pbuh ka lal hai"

5th from the top. Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain.

This one doesn’t sound like a Ahle-Sunnah version to me?

This is how it goes..

Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Deen-Mohammad (pbuh) kay kulshan khila diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Bolay Hussain Moula, Bolay Hussain Moula
Taree raza kee Khatar
Bolay Hussain Moula, Bolay Hussain Moula
Taree raza kee Khatar
Ik Ik Kar Kar Kay mein nay heeray luta diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Deen-Nabi(pbuh) pay waree
Deen-Nabi(pbuh) pay waree
Akbar nay bhee jawanee, Abbas nay Bhee
Apnay bazoo kattay diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Zainab (a.s.) kay bagh mein bhee
Zainab (a.s.) kay bagh mein bhee
Do phool thay Maghtay
Zainab (a.s.) wo dhonoun Rah-e-Khuda mein diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Zehra ka naz palay
Zehra ka naz palay
Pholoun pay sonay wala
Pholoun pay sonay wala
Karbal kee Khak mein heeray rola diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Bakshish hai us kee lazim
Bakshish hai us kee lazim
Syed kay gham mein hafiz
Do char ansoo ro kar jis nay baha diya hain

Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain
Syed ne Karbala mein waday nibah diya hain

I thought such concept is against what I hear the sunnis on this board say.

:hmmm::hmmm::hmmm::hmmm:

I would listen to the others inshallah. Thank you for the links Bao Bihari and Lajawab bhaiyon.

SubhanAllah

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

First of all, Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah don’t believe in matam or nauhah (gatherings of made up stories), we don’t get any reward from reading stories from a liar (Abu Mikhnaf Lut bin Yahya, who wrote the book ‘Maqtal-e-Husain’ and filled it with made up lies).

Islam is not ONLY about the Family of Saiyidina 'Ali radhiyAllahu 'anhu. There are so many Companions of Muhammad sallAllahu 'alayhe wasallam and others who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Allah, even today there must be so many who are dying for Allah.

Saiyidina Husain radhiyAllahu 'anhu doesn’t enjoy any special status in Islam only because he was the grandson of Muhammad sallAllahu 'alayhe wasallam as there were other grandsons of the Prophet as well e.g 'Ali bin Abul 'Aas radhiyAllahu 'anhu, who was the oldest grandson, from the eldest daughter of Rasoolullah sallAllahu 'alayhe wasallam, Zainab bint Muhammad radhiyAllahu 'anha. This sahabi grandson was martyred in a Jihad under the leadership of Hadhrat Abu 'Ubedah radhiyAllahu 'anhu and Doctor 'Allamah Muhammad Iqbal has composed a poem regarding that.

There was a great number of Companions of Muhammad sallAllahu 'alayhe wasallam who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Islam, e.g Saiyidina 'Uthman ibn 'Affan radhiyAllahu 'anhu was martyred by the followers of 'Abdullah ibn Saba, he remained hungry and thirsty for 40 days and even though he was in a position that he could punish those rebels but he didn’t want a bloodshed of Muslims for his sake as there was no evidence that those rebels were not Muslims, moreover such situation never arose since the time of Rasoolullah sallAllahu 'alayhe wasallam, so he preferred to die in the cause of Allah.

As for Saiyidina Husain radhiyAllahu 'anhu, off course he was the grandson of Muhammad sallAllahu 'alayhe wasallam, but he was not a Leader or Imam of Muslims at his time, there were other great Sahabah alive during his time e.g Saiyidina 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas, Saiyidina 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar radhiyAllahu 'anhu.

Shias project Saiyidina Husain radhiyAllahu 'anhu unnecessarily simply because their whole religion is based upon the stories made up on the tragedy of Karbala.
Ahlus Sunnah are fully aware of the status of Saiyidina Husain radhiyAllahu 'anhu and all those who have served Islam.

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

Interesting.

Ok. So who was the leader or Imam at that time?

I finished listening to the “Vol 030 Karbala Part 002.mp3”](http://server1.aswatalislam.net/Audios/Lectures/Alama%20Anwar%20Ul%20Mustafa%20Hamdami/Alama%20Anwar%20Ul%20Mustafa%20Hamdami%20-%20Vol%20030%20Karbala%20Part%20001.mp3)

The more I listen the more I begin to wonder if these are really lecturers from the Ahle Sunnah school coz it just doesn’t sound like what I expected. There’s shair-o-shiree, detailed mention of events, & even miracles that are mentioned by the lecturer.

The whole 1 hour 33 minutes was of misaab. Too much to take in one go to be honest, very heartbreaking. And some urdu is hard for me.

The camp of Ahle Bait is out of water and food for 3 days.

He mentions a riwayaat where Hazrat Ali Akbar a.s. was sent to view the fields of Karbala by Hazrat Hussain a.s., he came back and told him that he saw a niqab posh woman at certain locations. She did not reply when he asked her who she was. Hazrat Hussain a.s. told him that it was his mother who was trying to clear the fields of stones or something (I didn’t catch the word) for she knows that’s where we will fall.

Shadat of Hazrat Qasim a.s. is mentioned, how Hazrat Hussain a.s. didn’t wanted to sent him, and how his Pupee Zainab a.s. told him to open the taweez that was given to him by his father Hazrat Hassan a.s. that was to be opened at times of extreme difficulties. He opened and showed it to Hazrat Hussain a.s. where it was mentioned that Qasim be allowed to be sacrificed for sake of Islam when the time comes.

Zainab a.s. mentions to Hazrat Imam Hussain a.s. that she heard from her Grandfather s.a.w that when calmaties come, give sadiqa. Hussain a.s. asked her what they could give as sadaqa, they didn’t even have anything to drink or eat. She said her two sons. Shadat of Aun and Mohammad a.s. - 9 to 10 kids is mentioned. Zainab a.s wanted them to come back as shaheeds, she dressed them up herself and sent them off. How they both fought like lions. He also compares Zainab a.s. to Hzrat Hajra that she didn’t know where her son Ismail a.s. was heading to when it came for sacrifice while Zainab knew she was sending them to a sea of swords.

Hazrat Hussain a.s. sent a message through Hazrat Abbas a.s. to the enemy camp reminding them the day of judgement, who he was and so on. The other party insisted either he does bayat to Yazid or fight.

Shadat of Hazrat Abbas and Ali Asgher a.s. is mentioned v briefly. When Hussain a.s. asked for water for his baby, he was told by his enemies to ask water from his grandfather Abrahim a.s. and Mohammad a.s. The arrow comes… a tiny little mayat is buried…

The lecturer spends more time telling about Hazrat Ali Akbar a.s.. His dying wish was to see his sister Sughra, who was sick and left behind in Medina. Hazrat Hussain a.s. showed him his 2 fingers and in between he saw his sister. He then mentioned to his father that he could now see the Prophet, his grandfather and gmother.

On the night of 9 th Muhurram, prayers were said in both the opposing camps. ( Something to really think about.)

A letter is sent by Sughra to her father in Karbala, Allah informs Angel Gabriel to do something while the letter is on its way, to make sure it arrives. The something here was mentioned in difficult urdu I didn’t understand what He ordered A.Gabriel to do.

In the letter, Sughra mentions how she was promised that they would come back and get her after a month and how its been 3 months now and they didnt’ come for her. She talks about her brothers Ali Akbar & how Ali Asgher must have grown. How she had made new clothes for her sibling. Hazrat Hussain a.s. starts to cry and walks over to the mayat of Ali Akbar a.s and says “Ali Akbar Sughra ka Kath aya hai”. He goes on mentioning the close relationship between Ali Akbar and Sughra. A lot is also mentioned about Aun & Mohammand and Zainab as.

Hazrat Hussain a.s. mentions to his sister Zainab a.s. that his test was about to end and hers was about to begin. He tells her to be patient. Hazrat Hussain a.s. leaves for the battle field. Zuljinah, the horse doesn’t move, he looks down and finds Sakina holding on to Zuljinah. She says to her father that one by one everyone went but I had sahara that father you were still here. Now you are going… Hazrat Hussain a.s. makes her understand that it’s the will of Allah.

The lecturer mentions how Hazrat Hussain a.s. head is cut and put on a spear and from the lips was coming the talawaat of Quran. Before that ppl were looting his clothes, turban etc. The tents were burned. Ladies picked up the burnt pieces of the tent to try to cover their heads. Ya Mohammada! Ya Mohammada! could be heard when the ladies went from one burning camp to the other burning camp. Earrings are snatched from the ears of little Sakina. Hzrat B Zainab a.s. gathers the bodies of the martyrs at midnight. A niqabposh male approaches her on a horse. Zainab a.s. asked who he was and why he came here. The reply came. " I am your Grandfather, Mohammad s.a.w" (Shia version is that it’s Hazrat Ali a.s. who came at night.)

The day he was killed, the sky rained blood. Fresh blood was found under each stone that was turned. For 3 days, it was dark. Star crashed into each others and became pieces.

I never knew this was the Sunni version of events. Wow.

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

^ From Angelo Sexon Chronicle: (Part 1 - A.D. 1 - 748)

A.D. 685. This year King Everth commanded Cuthbert to be
consecrated a bishop; and Archbishop Theodore, on the first day
of Easter, consecrated him at York Bishop of Hexham; for Trumbert
had been deprived of that see. The same year Everth was slain by
the north sea, and a large army with him, on the thirteenth day
before the calends of June. He continued king fifteen winters;
and his brother Elfrith succeeded him in the government. Everth
was the son of Oswy. Oswy of Ethelferth, Ethelferth of Ethelric,
Ethelric of Ida, Ida of Eoppa. About this time Ceadwall began to
struggle for a kingdom. Ceadwall was the son of Kenbert, Kenbert
of Chad, Chad of Cutha, Cutha of Ceawlin, Ceawlin of Cynric,
Cynric of Cerdic. Mull, who was afterwards consigned to the
flames in Kent, was the brother of Ceadwall. The same year died
Lothhere, King of Kent; and John was consecrated Bishop of
Hexham, where he remained till Wilferth was restored, when John
was translated to York on the death of Bishop Bosa. Wilferth his
priest was afterwards consecrated Bishop of York, and John
retired to his monastery (21) in the woods of Delta. This year
there was in Britain a bloody rain, and milk and butter were
turned to blood.

The above incident is also recorded in islamic history books:

It is reported that when Imam Hussein (AS) was killed not only the residents of the heavens cried for Imam Hussein (AS), but even the skies cried for him and they wept blood for this Mazlum. This is reported not only in the Shi’a books but also in the most important Sunny references:

** “On the day of the martyrdom of al-Hussein (AS) the sky rained blood . . . .” **
See
Thakhaa’er al-Uqba pp 144, 145, 150.
Al-Sawaa’eq al-Muhriqah pp 116, 192 . . . . . .

** “There was not a stone which was not lifted but underneath it was found blood . . . . ”**

See
Al-Sawaa’eq al-Muhriqah pp 116, 192.
Tathkirat-ul-Khawaas p 284,
Tafsir ibn Kathir vol. 9, p 162 . . . . .

Nadra al-Azdiya, a woman who was contemporary with the Imam Husayn, is said to have reported:
'When al-Husayn b. ‘Ali was killed, the sky rained down blood, so that next morning we found our wells and water jugs filled with it.’

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

Shias mistake sunnis as if we side with the killers of Hazrat Hussain, never. That is the huge misunderstanding which needs to go away before anything else can happen. As I said before, those who killed on that day were the worst of mankind, worst criminals and those who watched and did nothing also go in the same category.

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

Found one more lecture on my harddrive, you may like it.

3-parts in zip file:

enjoy!

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

zer01 - that was interesting.

I, for one, never thought so. But when I opened this thread, I thought the versions of events were extremely diff. That Hazrat I Hussain’s a.s. shahadat was like any other shahadat and there was nothing special about that etc as per Ahle-Sunnah view.

:frowning: Can i hv it in MP3 format or wma format? Plsssssss :flower1: I need to dl it to my MP3 player. It look so complicated to dl the zip file. :hoonh: I got lost. Maybe u can give the original website to dl from like the others did?

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

It is MP3 format, but three files in zip.

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

I tried again but it says invalid session. The link is complicated for me. :snooty: Can’t u give me the 3 mp3 sessions separately or is there any other way. :-/

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

I know Jaan Leva that you dont support the killers of Hussain b Ali not being sarcastic]
but what about those watched and did nothing while uthman was being killed and later claimed to take revenge of his murder? are they also "worst of mankind" and "worst criminals" in your eyes....surely you consider uthman superior to Hussain b Ali

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

Those who watched and did nothing and then started crying afterwards back then, yes they are worst of mankind in same category as those who killed Hazrat Hussain. Anyone of us would have fought along side Hazrat Hussain and not with the traitor kufa'ites or the Karbalites.

HOW CAN YOU WATCH AND NOT DO ANYTHING? INSTEAD THEY TRICKED THEM TO COME TO KUFA AND KARBALA AND INFORMED THE KILLERS? AND AFTER FEW HOURS AS IT WAS ALL SAID AND DONE, THEY STARTED MOURNING AND CRYING?

PEOPLE OF KUFA AND KARBALA BETRAYED Hazrat Hussain and people with them.

Re: Ahle-Sunnah Lectures needed on the Martrydom of Imam Hussain (a.s.)

This works fine… khair, it may not be so pleasant for those who think kufi and karbalite traitors are innocent.
