Re: Ahle bait
You're wrong. Anyone with unbased attacks against umm al-Mu'mineen bibi Aisha (ra) does not have my support and I condemn such things. Who are we to speak about them? We are no one to say anything against them, these are the wives of the Holy Prophet (saws), I am not in disagreement with you in this regard. If anyone has spoken derogatorily towards bibi Aisha (ra), kindly point me towards such comments in this thread and I will address them.
Likewise, anyone with unbased attacks against Imam Ali, bibi Fatima, Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn (alaiyhimis-salaam) is not tolerated by me, I don't know about what anyone else thinks and I am not here to force anyone to believe anything. The Truth stands on its own and does not need yours or my help.
The fact of the matter here is, that the topic of discussion is who are the ahl' al-bayt, and I am in support of the view that it is Rasul-Allah (saws), Imam Ali, Fatima, Hasan, Husayn alaiyhimis-salaam, in lieu of what Imam Ahmed ibn Hanbal has recorded in his Musnad, one among the greatest of Sunni references about Ahl' al-Bayt:
Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal says:
A. Ahmad has related from Muhammad bin Mas‘ab from Awzā‘ī from Shaddād Abī ‘Ammār who said:
I approached Wathilah bin Asqa while a group of people was with him and were speaking about (Imam) ‘Alī [as]. When they got up and left, Wathilah said:
**Do you want me to inform you what I had seen of the Messenger of Allah (s)?
I replied in the affirmative. Wathilah said:**
**I went to Fatima [as] to enquire about (Imam) ‘Alī [as] and she said that he had gone to the Messenger of Allah (s). I waited for him to come and saw the Messenger of Allah (s) approaching with ‘Alī, Hasan and Husayn. The Prophet entered with Hasan and Husayn holding either of his hands, and he went near to ‘Alī and Fātimah and made them sit on their knees in front of him and Hasan and Husayn. Then he covered them with his cloak (kisa) and recited this ayah:
“Indeed, Allah desires to remove uncleanness from you O Ahl al-Bayt and keep you pure as pure can be.”
(Holy Qur’ān 33:33) *
*
Then he said:
“Allahumma haula’i Ahlu Bayti wa Ahlu Bayti ahaqq
(O Allah these the people of my house and the people of my house are [certainly] most meritorious).”
