Ahl e bait

Re: Ahl e bait

Both sunnis and shias have presented their sides of the argument and neither will admit that the other one is right.this thread should be locked

Re: Ahl e bait

Dear IS:

Not by all standards. In the Old Testament, a wife is not considered a part of her husband’s family. For example if a woman from the tribe of Judah married a man from the Korathi tribe, she would still remain a Judahite. However, a daughter is considered a part of a man’s family in the Old Testament. Similarly, a non Syed woman doesnt become a Syed by marrying a Syed man. Their daughter, however, is considered a Syeda etc.

bob

Re: Ahl e bait

**dear bob_chasm ** - Here we are discussing if the wife becomes ‘part and parcel’ of her husband’s family and not if her ethnicity changes or not. Of course her ethnicity will remain the same. An Tamil woman marrying a Bengali will remain a Tamil but will be considered part of the Bengali’s family. It is that simple.

Seriously, tell me this, if you were invited to a party and were asked to bring your family along *. Now will you go along with your children and leave your wife home since you do not consider her part of your family? Or do you expect a separate invitation for your wife?

Old Testament rules do not apply to us.*

Re: Ahl e bait

:) Bro Ibn Sadique; may I ask, isnt that exactly what happened at mubahila?

And whoever disputes with thee concerning him after the inspired knowledge which has been given unto thee, tell him,* "Come, let us call our sons and your sons; our women and your women; and ourselves and yourselves; then let us pray and invoke Allah's curse upon those who lie."*** (3:61)

Only 4 members of the family were chosen to accompany the Prophet (saw) on that occasion; they were Imam Ali (as), Bibi Fatima (as), Imam Hasan (as), and Imam Hussain (as). The very personalities now known as the panjatan paak.

Re: Ahl e bait

Deciding who is part of family and not, using ahadith, in IMO is debatable so I do not take anyone "sacred" enough just because one is "part of family because of this this and that hadith". To me only Allah swt will judge that. To diss/humiliate/ridicule others is an attempt to make yourself feel higher/holier/better, what good are YOU yourself? just pay attention to your deeds and pray that you become "eligible" for Heaven.

Re: Ahl e bait

Well said Captain1,

Re: Ahl e bait

I just wanted to know why :-/

Re: Ahl e bait

I’m not necessarily pointing towards you, but at everyone who thinks that they are part of ahle-bayt (from whatever their definition of ahle-bayt) and ahle-bayt are masoom, infallible etc. I doesn’t help me if my grand-father was masoom/sinless in any single way, I am responsible for my own deeds. If my grandfather cussed at anyone for one reason or the other, I’d still not look at the other person as kafir/sinner as its only Allah swt who can judge that.

Re: Ahl e bait

Talking about crap, do you know the CRAP named Satanic Verses written by Salman Rushdee. If no, then ask people around what was the major source of that book? Why is it, that every anti Islamic website is full of the traditions from the major Sahih books of sunni faith and they back thier claims using them?

Did I say she posted that in this thread?? I actually forgot to add the link of that post. Use the search function above for her posts on the same topic.

Check the links I posted in post 14. If you read and understand whats written there, you would not be asking such questions any more.

wow!! Heres a new theory, wives or not? he totally ignored the traditions related to the verse 33:33 in his sahih sacred books.

And you did’nt do anything wrong. These are words of Prophet (s) that there will be 73 sects and only one of them will go into Jannah. And it should be obligatory for every one to seek the truth to save his own neck.

Re: Ahl e bait

Dear Sister Ma Mooli :flower1: Good question  In fact the answer lies in your post quoted above!!!

See the words used by our dear Prophet (saw) “Come, let us call our sons and your sons; our women and your women; and ourselves and yourselves;…”

Lady Fatimah (ra) was the only female among the five from the Muslim’s side - yet the Prophet (saw) said: "our women " clearly implying that Lady Fatimah (ra) was standing in for more than herself.

You must know that our Prophet (saw) never spoke ambiguous language.

I hope that helped  .

Re: Ahl e bait

I quickly skimmed through the thread and tried to remove as many off topics posts as I could. They weren't inappropriate or bad, just that this thread is on ahl-e-bait, so I think it'd be better if we stick to the topic. If there are any posts that I have accidentally missed, please drop me a PM and I'll try to take care of it to the best of my ability, insha'Allah.

In addition, prior to starting any new threads, please use the search option to find relevant material that could answer your queries.
