Re: Ahl e bait
**You can get better Sunni view about Ahlul Bayt ** from the following link than let the Shia site [provided by zero1] interpret it for the Sunnis.
http://islamicweb.com/beliefs/cults/ahlulbait.htm
Surely, by all standards a wife or wives are part of a man’s family.
Don’t tell me that Shias don’t take their mothers to be part of their father’s family.
Re: Ahl e bait
can anyone please answer my question being part of Ahlebayt makes u infalliable?
Re: Ahl e bait
LOL, Bro Ibn Sadique, Another Shia bashing website. Told you once stop waisting your time on such websites and try to learn from some credible source.
Here are some quotes about Shia from the website you brought as your proof:
**1.) They (shia) have their own Quraan. **
1.) Most dirty and polluted left over water is that of a sunni.
2.) Not permissable to marry sunni because they are Kaafir.
3.) Cannot eat animal slaughtered by sunni.
4.) Sunnis created from soul of Jahannam.
Honestly, Ibn Sadique, do you believe in above about shia. Any one, who reads this post, have youe ever heard this coming from a shia? Actualy websites like (Ibn Sadique’s fav websites I mean) have only one aim. And that is to prepare suicide bombers and send them to shia mosques. Greate work Ibn Sadique, when are your gonna explode since you are great fan of such sites ![]()
Re: Ahl e bait
According to shia yes, they are pure of every sin and mistakes, cause Allah (swt) guaranties it. ref Al Quran 33:33
According to sunnis no, Although Allah guaranties it but they still can do grave sins. for example directly disobaying Allah (swt) by going out of the House and waging a war against the Khlifat’ul Waqt, The Ammer Al Mo’maneen of the time. (ref Al Quran 33:33), etc.
Isn’ it strange that in the very same ayah Allah guaranties thier purity (sunni view) and they disobay the very same ayah by leaving thier home for a war.
Re: Ahl e bait
Brother ravage, the hadith which you have quoted in post 13
[quoted below]
is incomplete.
O people, I am a human being. I am about to receive a messenger (the angel of death) from my Lord and I, in response to Allah’s call, (would bid good-bye to you), but I am leaving among you two weighty things: the one being the Book of Allah in which there is right guidance and light, so hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it. He exhorted (us) (to hold fast) to the Book of Allah and then said: The second are the members of my household I remind you (of your duties) to the members of my family. He (Husain) said to Zaid: Who are the members of his household? Aren’t his wives the members of his family? Thereupon he said: His wives are the members of his family (but here) the members of his family are those for whom acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. And he said: Who are they? Thereupon he said: 'Ali and the offspring of 'Ali, 'Aqil and the offspring of 'Aqil and the offspring of Ja’far and the offspring of 'Abbas.
The complete hadith is as quoted below:
Yazid bin Haiyan reported: I went along with Husain bin Sabrah and Amr bin Muslim to Zaid bin Arqam (May Allah be pleased with them) and, as we sat by his side, Husain said to him, "Zaid, you acquired great merits, you saw Messenger of Allah (PBUH), listened to him talking, fought by his side in (different) battles, and offered Salat (prayer) behind him. Zaid, you have indeed earned great merits. Could you narrate to us what you heard from Messenger of Allah (PBUH)?'' Zaid said, "By Allah! I have grown old and have almost spent up my age and I have forgotten some of the things which I remembered in connection with Messenger of Allah (PBUH), so accept what I narrate to you, do not compel me to narrate what I fail to narrate". He then said, "One day Messenger of Allah (PBUH) stood up to deliver a Khutbah at a watering place known as Khumm between Makkah and Al-Madinah. He praised Allah, extolled Him, and exhorted (us) and said, Amma Badu. O people, I am a human being. I am about to receive a messenger (the angel of death) from my Rubb and I will respond to Allah's Call, but I am leaving with you two weighty things: the first is the Book of Allah, in which there is right guidance and light, so hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it.' He exhorted (us to hold fast) to the Book of Allah and then said, The second is the members of my household, I remind you (to be kind) to the members of my family. I remind you (to be kind) to the members of my family. Husain said to Zaid, "Who are the members of his household, O Zaid? Aren’t his wives the members of his family?‘’ Thereupon Zaid said, “His wives are the members of his family. (But here) the members of his family are those for whom Zakat is forbidden”. He asked, "Who are they?‘’ Zaid said, "Ali and the offspring of Ali, Aqil and the offspring of Aqil and the offspring of Jafar and the offspring of `Abbas.‘’ Husain asked, "For all of them the acceptance of Zakat is forbidden?‘’ Zaid (May Allah be pleased with him) said, “Yes”. [Muslim].
http://www.witness-pioneer.org/vil/hadeeth/riyad/00/chap043.htm
Note that Hz. Zaid bin Arqam (ra) said:
"His wives are the members of his family”
(But here) the members of his family are those for whom Zakat is forbidden". He asked, "Who are they?‘’ Zaid said, "Ali and the offspring of Ali, Aqil and the offspring of Aqil and the offspring of Jafar and the offspring of `Abbas.‘’
Since Zakat is forbidden for the above, the Prophet (saw) asked the people to take care of his blessed family by other means than Zakat.
There should be no argument about the issue about the blessed wives of the Prophet (saw) ( May Allah be pleased with them all) being part of Ahlul Bayt as the Quran has used this term to address man and his family.
Obviously not! But we must wait for our Shia brothers and sisters to answer this.
Re: Ahl e bait
brother zer01
Could you kindly show me good sites** [must be credible] ** I can waste my time on?
Which among is your personal favourite?
Zero1 – The topic of this thread is about Ahlul Bayt and not which sites are my favourites or when I intend to explode just standing next to you. Just try to address the article of the link I have given to: http://islamicweb.com/beliefs/cults/ahlulbait.htm
Are you going to deny that the above are not in your books? – reliable or not.
Deny it and I shall oblige you with references from your books for the above quotations. And then you will say, “ Yes, the above is in our books but we don’t believe them” ![]()
Re: Ahl e bait
yes we dont believe in such crap. The question is, Do You?? ![]()
Re: Ahl e bait
^ surely it is crap as you say and it is in *your books * written by yours *eminent scholars * :D
Now tell me: Is this crap as you say in your books or not? You want references for it? Believe you me, I have resources who will scan the pages for you if you so deny - it may take time but once challenged, I will insha'Allah get them for you.
Deal? :)
Re: Ahl e bait
Brother zero1 - Did the ahlul bayt (raa) become pure of every sin and mistake after the revelation of the ayah 33:33 or are the ahlul bayt (raa) born pure of every sin and mistake?
**Hint: ** Think hard how you answer this - but it ain’t a trick question. ![]()
Re: Ahl e bait
Please lets stick to the topic and answer the initial query to the best of your ability and lets not turn in it into thread to malign and disrespect each others' beliefs.
Re: Ahl e bait
LOL, i cant believe you really fell for that :D. Sometimes you really amaze me brother. Whatever happened to that Ibn Sadique we all knew. ![]()
Oh BTW about the books you are talking about, Let me refresh your memory. Just click here and read from post #44 and so on
funny!! i dont need to think hard at all, I believe sis Ma Mooli already answered it to you. Did’nt she? And my answer isnt any different ![]()
Re: Ahl e bait
whenever a hadith goes against Quran, u reject it....
Quran is very clear on ahl-e-bait meaning wives....
Re: Ahl e bait
^^ depends on which sets of tradition you believe on, i.e. Sunni or Shia.
Re: Ahl e bait
**Zero1 ** Wouldn’t it better that you stick to the topic than to have a side show with me? I have noted that you have not denied that the said crap ain’t in your books.
In case I missed something, could you please show me sister Ma Mooli’s post in this thread?
Coming back to the topic, please do not take it personal - Do you as a Shia consider your dear mother as part of your father’s family? If you do, then why do you deny the Prophet (saw) to have his wives (raa) as part of his blessed family?
Re: Ahl e bait
i am talking about Quran…
one who does not believe in Quran, aint from Islam…
Re: Ahl e bait
Dont we interpret Quran in the light of traditions/hadees?
For example, ayat 33:33 or ayat Mubahila in Shia traditions is purely for panjetan paak.
Re: Ahl e bait
when all the verses before it talk about the wives, and the earlier part of the verse also talks about his wives, why wud the latter part be about someone else???
ahl-el-bait in Quran has been used only for Muhammad (saw)'s wives and for Ibrahim (as)'s wife…
Re: Ahl e bait
^ because the latter was revealed seperately, on a totally different occasion.
People cannot be called ahl ul bayt, just because they are seyeds. If that were the case, every other seyed would be proclaiming to be an Imam and masoom etc. They are not. Ahl ul Bayt is only reserved for those selected by the Prophet and the previous Imam.
If that weren't the case, Hazrat Abu Talib, Hazrat Qasim, Aun o Muhammmed, Bibi Zainab and Kulsoom etc., would be one of the be first to be considered as part of the chosen Ahl ul Bayt. But they arent, and we accept it the way it is. We cant go around lumping people together, because we feel like it. It just doesnt work that way.
Re: Ahl e bait
IMHO............Wives of prophet are his family. If someone dont consider them as his family member, he doesnot has enough knowledge of Islam.
The wives of Prophet have been called as Ummu-l-Mu'mineen and Prophet is been called the Father of Mo-mineen in Quran. If Shias call them sleves as Mu'mineen and others as Muslims so they have to accept this brutal truth that Allah has made Prophet's wives their Mothers.........
Messege ends.
Please do not write in bold, unless necessary. Thank you. -Sadiyah
