Age Differences

Re: Age Differences

I never said he is responsible here.
I just said he is older. I get to joke with him about it. If we argue, I get to play the younger card…

Re: Age Differences

Even from non-desis, I've heard the opinion that men and women mature at a different rate (not talking physically here), so a couple of years of difference works well. I'd say that's definitely the case in my marriage. She's 7 years younger and arguably about as mature as I am. But your 35 year olds getting 18 year olds is all about supply and demand. For some reason, the supply is there, so there will be takers.

Re: Age Differences

At one point husband was 8 and she was not born yet. You can also classify it as a childhood fantasy.

Re: Age Differences

There's so much generalization going on here.

I personally know men who've married women older or their age. And I don't know any man who is looking for a girl 10 years younger. Yes, these things do happen, but not so much that ALL men are categorized the same way. And yes, I am talking about brown men who've married older women or of the same age. Heck, I know 2 guys who lives in Pakistan who married girls a year older than them. AND THEIR MOM WAS OKAY WITH IT.

I also personally know many brown men who are done studies and well settled, even bought their own place by the age of 27-28. So again, this generalization of "our men" being coddled and lazy and deadbeat makes no sense whatsoever. Heck, the university I went to was filled with brown young guys in the accounting program. And none of them seemed lafangey to me.
