well as far as i know, the alcohol that is written on those is usually ethanol, commonly know as alcohol, coz it is widely used. i was just reading on the mouthwash label and it stated clearly methyl alcohol and alcohol separately. i will research more and tell you..
the other thing i guess is that "Khumar" is haram...so if you are in Khumar...which could mean a range of things..you can not go to namaz. if it is not causing that, i do not think it should cause any problems.

It is possible for ethyl alcohol to be absorbed into the body through the skin.
people are more interested in literal interpreation forgetting core

this schollar suggests.... if this alcohol used in perfumes (n homeopathic medicines ) is obtained from dates or grapes then its not permissible to use them ....coz actually these two are responsible for 'khumr'.....
so basically it does confirms the fatwa presented here by 3arabeeya n mad_scientist.........
