It is shame that person of that caliber recited simple and one of the easiest sura. Unless they should be sure what they are reciting, they should not disgrace Holy Qura’an. I have seen many people slipped their tongue or forget the sura while reciting. However this should not be taken as critieria for good politicking. What you have to say about this MQM’s halim and nihari eater, cooked by brothel runner who is currently the heavy mendate PM of Pakistan:)

as long as we prioritize such things, we will never prosper. its high time that religion should be left out of politics and all spheres of public life. whether he can recite that sura or not, he will remain an accomplished lawyer, activist and politician. and if we judge him based simply on the fact that he could not recite a sura, then heck we should not be surprised that talibans are trying to rule us.

We shouldn’t really judge people based on their knowledge of Islam or Quran. Doesn’t really matter if he forgot what he was trying to recite.

The real sad thing is that PPP is supposed to be LIBERAL, PROGRESSIVE AND SECULAR kind of party and yet the officials from the party have to (MIS)USE Islam to continue making fools out of general population. If NS or IK do that, it is hypocritical but at least they don’t claim to be liberal, progressive politicians. See how Asifa ‘Bhutto’ Zardari changes from ‘liberal’, ‘progressive’ in London to all momin in Pakistan…
