Afraid to be a good husband...

Re: Afraid to be a good husband...

How many husbands have a nice enough temperment to keep multiple wives happy? (by the way RasulAllah had 9 wives) .

A lot of husbands can't even fulfill their fard of providing their ONE wife and children with food clothing and shelter, and the ones that do often have a big attitude doing it, as if they are doing them a favor when in fact they are doing themselves a favor in the sight of Allah.

Honestl,y I can say that I wouldn't mind if my husband took another wife, not because i'm that pious but because that's just my personality, it's something I feel I can live with. However there is such a huge stigma associated with it in our comminity it's actually a topic of gossip as if the man is taking a mistress or something. I think there would be more women wiling to do it if it wasn't looked down upon so much by other desis.

Re: Afraid to be a good husband...

i totally agree with that:) ...................anyway most husbands cant even fullfill their duty with 1 wife then how are they gonna to take care of more wifes:) .....

Re: Afraid to be a good husband...

Ladies get jealous when they're husband just glances at another girl, do you think they'll allow their husbands to have a second wife?

My advice for the girls of GS would be to understand the full life of the prophet (pbuh) and not just pick and choose which attributes you'd want your husbands to replicate.

First of all, get over yourself; I don’t see why you are taking such offense to the condom breaking thread. I’ts none of your business as to who is sleeping with whom, and that girl who was “worrying” about it was only JOKING AND she is married. So there :grumpy:

Hussain, Sara sometimes misplaces her words but she’s good at heart, that can’t be said about some people here.

Re: Afraid to be a good husband…

… you’d realize that I’ve apologized to her already; I was just making a point about the issues that trouble todays “muslim” ladies.
