Re: Afghani Pulao and Salads

Ur welocome mofo.

Re: Afghani Pulao and Salads

can u use regular basmati rice for afghani pulao? and omit the raisins? and add some more masalas?

:D

Re: Afghani Pulao and Salads

Yes u can use basmati but that particular taste of aghani pulao will be missing. Yes baby u can skip raisins and add masalas but u will end up with something other then afghani pulao then:p

Isit that u wan to skip raisins cuz u think sweet raisins wont go well with a pulao? Just experiment this. U will love it.

About masalas, most of the afgani and nothern dishes dont have a lot of spices. This is what makes their special taste

Re: Afghani Pulao and Salads

what is "sella rice" ? i thought afghans used basmati rice like us desis.

and can you give us exact amount of water to add? like 1 cup rice- add 2 cups water.

Grains are longer then basmati rice.

I m afraid i can give the exact measurement. What i do is, if basmati rice is pre soaked, i would put them in the pan first and then add water till half of my finger is in. For sella rice, iwould increase it a little more then that.

Re: Afghani Pulao and Salads

Sella rice is soaked for double the time than basmati ones as well
