Pakora, Kabuli Pilau has carrots always. Maybe you mean Afghani Pilau?
And yes, you can substitute the lamb for chicken but this is the authentic way and how I make it. Che rashi ano bya ba dala jor kam.

Hey we call it Peerakai too sometimes, it's quite confusing how one dish can have so many names depending on geographical location.

Yeah that's the Pashto name for it, well that is maybe coz it belongs to all of us, some dishes have only one name coz it relates to the one common group who have invented it.

and have you tried DANDAKAI? it's called Mai Palaow/Mai Wreje and Mash Palaow aswell......i love this one.....there is two types...in one you make a round gap kinda thing and then put yogurt with oil in it...and the other one is normal......noth of em rock...
