Not Southern India - the ethnic Tamils of the Tamilnadu were supporting the Tamil movement in Sri Lanka UNTIL the movement split and the extremist faction took over. The Sri Lankan Tamil minister was killed by the LTTE itself to subdue the moderate factions…! These events turned most of even the Tamils either against or neutral. But the Govt of India was asked by Jayawardene and India sent peace keeping forces, the Indian view being it will have to control the large influx of refugees into India
Then when Rajapakshe took over Sri Lanka and committed atrocities, again obviously the Tamils in India have re-committed their support in trying to get Rajapakshe for war crimes and atrocities.
If you are interested in truth, I have given it to you in a nutshell. I am sure you have the ability to go look for proof yourself. But if you keep repeating India ‘interfered’ then it just shows you prefer to be ignorant.
