Let me talk to his wife again and ask her permission first. I do have his postal address.

Re: Aejaz
well did not know the person...but another reminder that we should pay attention to the after life as well as after all the game of life gives only one chance....
May Allah forgive Aejaz and give his family patience...

Re: Aejaz
Although I understand the feeling with which you are proposing this Idea but I think it will just bring those wound back ,which they must have worked hard to put behind them in last 8 months.
Re: Aejaz
^yea I know. This is why Ehsan is right in contacting them first. However, as a counter argument, it is always a nice feeling to know that your dear departed one is being missed in variuos quarters of the world :)
Re: Aejaz
:(
Re: Aejaz
I second your opinion. Prayers are what we can do and shall do for the departed soul. One can not share their grief by sending them anything
Re: Aejaz
Inna lillaha wa inna ilahi rajioun
Although i never ever met aejaz bhai in person but had some arguments with him on GS and in pm with him. Let me admit only 2nd time in my cyber life (that spans back to 1995), I am feeling it. It does not appear virtual or cyber to me, these are real ppl, Aejaz bhai was real and he is no more.
May Allah rest him in heaven and make his grave life easy on him
aameen!
Re: Aejaz
I have a feeling that Aejaz (as was typical of him) would approve of the funny side of the above line. I mean the recommendation of Chicken Karrahi to a heart patient with blocked arteries.
Not to take away anything from the sombre nature of this thread, but this is what I will miss most of Aejaz’s posts :

Re: Aejaz
Some1 that reminds me of the following thread which I opened to make fun of Aejaz after India lost to Pakistan at Edgbaston during the last ICCCT championship:

Re: Aejaz
this emoticon is exactly what i was referring to.
trademark aejaz.
Re: Aejaz
^ yes Nikhil this emoticon was his trademark, his way of expressing joy at the Indian team hitting a boundary or taking a wicket.
Re: Aejaz
^Ehsan, I remember the thread well.
Sometimes we (Aejaz and I) were the only Indians following Pakistan's matches on GS at unearthly hours , even matches which did not feature India. Guess he just liked to indulge in playful banter with the Pak fans here and we couldn't esp let go of the opportunties presented during matches when the Pak team were in bad position, regardless of their opposition :)
Re: Aejaz
^ Yes I know. :)
Re: Aejaz
Inna Lillah e Wa Inna Ilehay Ra'ajeoon.
Very sad and shocking news. :( I remember Aejaz bhai very well, even though I didn't post a lot here on GS but I loved reading his posts and seemed like he was a great and fun person. We will all surely miss him. And I agree with Saby Bhai...even though sending them something will re-open the wound like people said...but I think its a good feeling for his family to know that he is being missed by so many people. But like Ehsan bhai said, he should ask his wife first and see how she feels about the whole thing.

Inna lillah e wa inna illaihe rajihoon.
Last time when he went missing for a long time: http://www.paklinks.com/gs/showthread.php?t=167755
Soo sad to hear this news. May Allah bless him with jannah and grant his family sabar. ![]()
Re: Aejaz
As a tribute to aejaz and to keep his memory alive at GS we will rename his trademark smilie :bhangra: as : Aejaz:
Re: Aejaz
Excellent Idea.
Re: Aejaz
Aejaz, as far as I remeber, is the second user of this board who passed away. Responses of the people and the love expressed for the departed and their families makes me feel we are a family here. May Allah keeps all of us in His special protection and makes our life easy and death less painful. Indeed life is short.
Ina lillah hay wa Ina elahay rajaoun
The only thing certain in this life is death, eventually every one has to leave this place.
Who's the other deceased person u r referring to? I am sorry I don't come often here so dat's why curious
