Aejaz was on of the most active guppie on KK. I am sure all of you remember him well. His posts were always a great pleasure to read and while he was a very strong supporter of the Indian cricket team he was very fair in his comments and I use to enjoy tremendously interacting with him. Since February he had not been on GS and all efforts to contact him failed. Finally today I was able to contact his wife who gave me the very sad news that he died on February 25, 2006 of a heart attack.
Ina lillah hay wa Ina elahay rajaoun.
May Allah bless his soul and grant him Jannah (Ameen).
He was a friend, I will miss him and am sure that all at GS will as well.
Last year when Hurricane hit Florida he was kind enough to offer free accommodation to guppies at his hotel.
RIP Aejaz.
I am heart broken at having lost such a good friend.
Oh my god.......Ina lillah hay wa Ina elahay rajaoun...........god....i cannot believe this......I am no more active at KK website but there were days when i used to participate at this great forum quite actively…..I used to have so many friendly fights with aejaz (he was from India and I was a hardcore Pakistani supporter)........He was such a great person with a open heart........I still can not believe it.....so many memories are coming back........I still remember aejaz’s first post at KK in which he introduced himself in detail...it was a very different type of post...open, simple and sincere.......i also remember how aejaz announced to quit KK due to bad behavior of some guppies and how all of the us requested him to come back and he obliged to our requests…he was a very simple person who was always willing to help everyone……..I don’t know what to say…I am really shocked……There were so many tense matches between India and Pakistan in which I participated along with aejaz (thread discussions)…May Allah give peace to his soul…I am really really sad....
I surely will miss Aejaz bhai - his candid opinions, his ardent support for the Indian cricket team... his plain spokenness and ingenuous outlooks! were all his trademarks! :(
Aejaz bhai is no more.. terrible..terrible terrible.. its really sad news.. may his soul rest in peace. How sad.. he used to be very active here. A great patriot and had a very nice way of putting his views across. Even before joining here i used to read his posts and felt proud to have an Indian in here . How sad.. i am heart broken. i cannot believe it.
To say that I am shocked would be an understatement.
I have been around here for more than seven years now. During this time, I have seen many fellow Indian guppies come and go. Aejaz made an impression on me because unlike most of us (Indian guppies - me included), his posts were never die-hard jingoistic but almost always "jovial and friendly" with a sense of humour that was hard to miss. No wonder he was well-liked by everybody here.
I did not know him in person...but the news of his passing has hit me at a very personal level.
May his soul rest in peace.
Ehsan, would you have an idea of the age of Aejaz ? I would like to think his family(including children) are handling his passing as best as possible under the circumstances.
Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Rajioon...he will surely be missed...may God grant his soul a place to rest in heaven, and give his family and friends the strength to deal with the loss...
I loved his posts during India-Pakistan games. He was a true gentleman ... i'll surely miss him. Its really hard to believe ... i don't know wat to say... it is such an empty feeling. Thanks *Some1 *for highlighting few of his threads ... He has left us some good memories indeed ... i'll cheerish that. I never knew that a cricket forum can get me so emotional. Man, i still can't believe it.
