You can search google for ovulation period. Roughly its the week after your cycle is over which is considered to be the danger zone if you want to avoid pregnancy. But as it is, nothing really is infallible. Seeing all your situation, I think you will be fine to be on pills since you have to avoid pregnancy for some time anyway. Good luck.
