Re: Advice on Weight gain

Er better question is, are you doing this for yourself or for your fiance?

I don't think gaining weight by pigging out on junk food is healthy, no matter how "low" the starting (and ending) weight may be.

I know, 115 may not sound like much (I know I wish I could be that :D) but it's really not healthy (emotinoally, mentally, physically) to 1)stuff yourself with unhealthy food and 2) because it's what someone else wants, NOT what you want. **

If you love how you look, **then don't change yourself for anyone because it's not worth it.

But if you are unhappy with your appearance and think you could put on a few pounds, do it the healthy way, through exercise and eating right, not by stuffing yourself silly with junk.

Re: Advice on Weight gain

Maaan, why U losing weight! Do U know who I am, UR bro wat up?

Re: Advice on Weight gain

Whatever you do, do it gradually. Rushing things is bad for your health, whether you are losing or gaining weight.

If YOU want to gain the weight, just remember to stay active, so that weight goes in the right places.

And as someone mentioned, get married. Most of us gain 5-10 pounds in the first year :D. I gained about 5 and realized it was probably because I take more time with proper meals since we sit together and make sure the other eats properly. I don't skip meals really at all and because I'm keeping my hubby company and I'm a fast eater, I continue to nibble until he's done.

Re: Advice on Weight gain

^ It's okay -- enjoy yourself. Then become a bit more careful. I had a really fast metabolism, but for whatever reason, I've already noticed it slowing down (I'm 26). And with the post-wedding gain (I actually at some point think I got to 10 lbs over pre-wedding weight, but lost 5lbs since then) I've become a little more conscious about the junk food. Of course it's also the potential harm to offspring that's made me watch what I eat and stuff as well, more organic foods, less soda, sugars, more water, etc. I still have lots of junk, but I'm a bit more watchful now. I was really indulgent initially.

Re: Advice on Weight gain

working out will do wonders, and trust me when i say wonders..... working out will make u hungry and that way ure metabolism also become fast and u start eating a lot..... ull be just fine...
and if ure a girl trying to gain weight, make sure u dont end up storing all those pounds in places u dont want...

best of luck with it.

Eat little amounts of food (good healthy foods) throughout the day, you'll put on good healthy weight
