I ask because I know someone who has done this. a Pakistani girl got engaged to a gora (merely for the sake of being with someone cuz she was getting old according to her she was 29 at the time, and didn’t like any rishtas that came her way) yet was still actively looking for other men. She had even asked me to help her look. she said if she came across a Pakistani man who was even a smidge interested in her, she would break off her engagement, and give it a shot.

If the girl was so desperate to be with someone then instead of deceiving this gora guy by having an engagement with him with an intention to break it off later, she should have found someone agreeing to have an open relationship with no commitments for future and with an understanding that the options for both partners are open.
Population of Pakistan = 180 million. Male population of Pakistan 90 million. Male population of marriagle Age (50%)= 45 million. Single Males available = +- 20 million .
