Accord 07

I am planning to buy it… anyone here who bought it and wants to comment on it? I presently have a 03 Accord that I bought a few years ago and am happy with it, except that the emissions light once or twice came out and I got it checked, nothing wrong with it… Also, I am unsure as to whether I should go for the V-6 or 4cylnd.

Re: Accord 07

My advise will be to wait for 08 Accord, it will be same as Euro Accord. Right now Accord is so bulky like American sedans. 08 will be very trimmed and sporty as it is based on Honda Sports concept car. Check it out on web.

Re: Accord 07

smooth, i just remembered, I actually saw the Accord 08 coupe last week at the autoshow, my yadaasht is going bonkers! and yeah ure right, its a major design change!

Re: Accord 07

spock I agree 07 accord is a blah design. wait for the 08, btw have u seen the new camry and altima? dunno how much ua re plannign to spend. but if u are going for a fully loaded accord, I would suggest you get the acura tsx instead, that thing drives like its on rails..

Re: Accord 07

yar my prob is, i have to get rid of the accord 03 i have as after it passes 80K i wont be able to sell it as a honda certified vehicle, and the price drops considerably, but yeah, the 08 looks sweet, i actually saw it last week and looks like a real sports car finally (with a civicish touch)... I also have a civic that i bought brand new few years ago and that things pretty sweet too..

Re: Accord 07

qibla and what about the accura tsx?

oh and i have a solution, dont drive accord much drive your civic so u manage the miles on accord?

Re: Accord 07

Its a catch-22.

You can decide to wait for the 2008 and suffer a huge loss on a two generation old accord (2003). Once your accord crosses the two generation mark you're going to be hit hard with resale.

OR you can sell your one generation old accord (2003) now for more and get a 2007.

IMHO, you're going to be trading at a very bad time in both cases if you insist on getting an accord. If you can stray off from Accord, look at the Altima or Camry. The timing (getting rid of an end of the line 2003 for a brand new redesigned 2007 camry or altima) will make the models very appealing. When it comes to selling them, you'll have the first year of a new model. Your mistake in getting the 2003 accord was you got the last year for that design. If you get the 2007 accord, you'll be doing the same thing.

I can tell you from personal experience, when you're stuck in a situation like this, sell it off and change. We got rid of our 1999 Camry just before the 2007 came out, only to get a 2006 Passat. Selling it a few months earlier got us 1,500 dollars more than if we had waited.

Re: Accord 07

did u catch the Honda Advisory about odometer problems? I guess it applied to '02-present models.. Honda will extend your warranty a bit.. check it out.. might help you even if u’re reselling..

and Accord is ok.. but my next car would be one of those American full size sedans.. sure they are horrible when compared to the Japanese models, but they’re so roomy and comfy from the inside :tamatarr:

Re: Accord 07

^^

PakistaniAbroad… are you getting old

Re: Accord 07

I can jjst see PA in a bonneville or something.
Yo PA, if u are going to get an american car atleast get the chrysler 300

Re: Accord 07

Can someone post a pic or link to '08 Accord? I see too many artist's redentions on various websites (some look like a souped up Civic and some are showing '09 Accord which is a totally wicked design) that I am not sure whats the final shape gonna look like.

I am sure all of you do realize that some American cars have now better reliability ratings than German cars. A guy at my work just bought a Chrysler 300 SRT8. I assure you that if that car had wings, it WILL fly. Its scary fast. And very comfy. Only the smaller windows make you feel like you are cocooned.

Re: Accord 07

getting? i’ve officially been in Oldsville for a while..

yeah that’s not bad either but with only 3yr/36000mi on Drivetrain and being a Chrysler that’s just asking for trouble..

I had my eyes on the Imapla LTZ. I’ve rented it a lot of times and it’s got everything I could need..

P.S. sorry Spock bhaijaan. looks like u’re thread is being hijacked right under your nose!

Re: Accord 07

I don’t know if you know that the 2003-2007 are same generation. In 2006 Honda introduced face lift to the not so appreciated backlights of the 03 Accord. They did it before as well back in 1996. Same generation as 1994 but a little face lift to the back light (you must have noticed, lights used to be half in the trunk and half in tail in 94).

A fully loaded V6 Accord will be close to TSX, so if you want to go with existing TSX, its your call. Or wait for the new model.

Faisal, this is the final version for 2008 Accord coupe. Sedan is not unveiled officially, but it is going to have same trims but different back lights. It is not like the drawings posted all over the web. A different front, but exciting sides and rare.

Re: Accord 07

This is from the web, but I have some really nice pictures that I personally took at the D-town autoshow last week wil post them later…

Re: Accord 07

Really? To be honest, Honda makes great cars but I am not too fond of their service, even with warranty they can be hardasses. Like this one time I went for an in warranty brake check and I insisted that the brakes be changed as they were too soft, and the technician kept arguing with me saying it was all in my head, and Im like dammit the damn thing is under warranty and unless he doesnt want to honor my warranty and hear from Honda, he should shutup and change it. After he put new brakes, it was clear that there was marked improvement so I was right, and it wasnt just in my head.

I think Im going to stick to this one for now and wait for the 08. Fraudz, the accura and camry are out because my budget is around 23-24K yar, ghareeb admi hoon...

Re: Accord 07

This is nice. Though Honda is one Company where the coupe and sedan don’t talk to each other at all. Similar to Mitsubishi, where Montero and Montero Sports are two entirely different vehicles.

Re: Accord 07

spock. if u spend #1K extra.. look for incentives and if u play hardball u can get a tsx for $25K.. invoice is 25,781, factoring in holdback and aall, its entirely possible. plus it also depends how much u can get on trade in.

but try it, go test drive it. Believe me, that is one amazing car. but only u will know after test driving it if you want to shell out the extra.

Re: Accord 07

guess it depends on the dealership.

I had problems with my console.. turned out it fell under some Honda Advisory (looking back at the problems i've had with Japanese cars, I really don't think they are THAT better than American) so even if I wasn't under warranty, they'd have to fix it. The dealership I go to is the same one I bought it from, and they're ok to deal with.

Got it replaced no questions asked.. just have to spend some time, but they've got wireless so i was sorta kinda still at work ;) but they've also got a free Pacman/Gallaga machine so well as I said I was at work ;)

Re: Accord 07

What about Caddy’s? I was looking at the CTS, but its missing some of the options i can get in the Acura TL.

Re: Accord 07

dunno man never really been a caddy fan so never looked into them
