Re: About those who drink alcohol
I wouldn’t marry someone who drinks. I don’t do it…wouldn’t marry someone who does.

Also…i think the immediate revulsion to alcohol lies in it’s choice, i guess.** Taking a loan or a mortgage is something some people can’t avoid doing…alcohol is. There are sins such as not praying or gheebat (to a much lesser extent)…these aren’t things we consciously think “yes it is bad. Yes i am committing a sin. But i will still do it” - they are mostly things you do and realize, sh*t…i shouldn’t have done that. ‘Accidental’ sins if you will. Alcohol, drugs, rape, murder (not talking abt cases of self-defense etc)…these aren’t things you just ‘accidentally’ or subconsciously/unconsciously do…they are more deliberate defiances of Allah’s command.
Idk if i made sense. It makes sense in my head.
A lot of our sins are our own choices tho.. not wearing hijab is one obvious example.. it’s just not considered a huge deal because most of us aren’t doing it..
