I think it is a good policy but the following raised an eyebrow - it is certainly not appropriate as part of a ‘policy statement’ and is by itself an insult:
“cow piss drinkers” (insulting to most Hindus)
Change it.

"Cow piss drinkers"was included in policy statement for precisely the reason given above. There are some individuals who take the unorthodox beliefs of a small minority of hindus and apply it to all hindus. Bringing up this particular belief and generalising with this particular phrase will no longer be tolerated and thus it is called out in detail

3) It is OK for a guy to have 4 wives
4) You will have to kill the infidels( this is a matter of perception, but that is exactly what I am talking about)
5) You should not be friendly with a jew.
6) You should not take pictures of living beings.
7) You should not listen to music.
The list is endless...
You will agree with me that most of the points listed above are not cultural ..
All these points can be debated. But arent there sects in Islam which claim that all the above are true and need to be followed to the extreme.

1) interest is still haraam, and many muslims, God-fearing muslims, keep themselves away from it and i dont think its something to be ashamed of or to see as unpractical
2) it is very well ok to marry no matter what the age difference, u still hear of a 70 year old marrying a 16 year old, and so on, and besides if u think its wrong, its purely ur own cultural upbringing just like marrying cousins is thought to be wrong by some people, but its very well allowed in Islam
3) what do u see wrong in having 4 wives???? shame on nations who will accept people sleeping around with who ever they like but not allow more than one wife
4) that is dependent on the prevailing conditions and on who exactly those infidels r and what behavior they show unto the muslims
5) misinterpretation of a much wider issue, it includes not jews but all non-muslims
6) painting and sketching by hand is the thing that is not allowed
7) whats good in listening to music???? why shud it be allowed????
no, and those that were not allowed, were not allowed for a reason and that reason holds valid even today....
muslims have not deserted them and by no means to they find it shameful that such things r allowed or not allowed in their religion....
most of them r Quranic injunctions, those who call themselves muslims and think that they do not need to follow them r not really muslims....
those who think they shud be followed, r just being muslims and doing what Allah ordered them throught the Quran and the Prophet (saw)....

Just a clarification (I really didn't think some people can be this dense but surprises never cease).
Nobody cares about what some Hindu haters, whether moderator or immoderator says about cow piss drinking. but it is kind of silly and hypocritical for somebody to open a thread to introduce a policy of moderation and then add the "for the most Hindus" phrase.
Or am I attributing too much to them?

instead of questioning other peoples iman who defend islamic laws, you indeed need to look if you yourself are not a kafir. by saying that interest is not haram, you are commiting an act of kufr and if you persist, then it becomes apostasy. allah has forbidden interest and anyone who makes halal what is haram and makes haram what is halal is a KAFIR.

If taken out of context any statement can have a meaning that it did not intend. Hence when islam says something against Jews, music, multiple young wives etc etc it is not to be extracted from its context. If all muslims followed excerpts of Islam we all would be going to hell for crimes against humanity. Islam is a very peaceful very meaning full religion. Even punishments are to be used sparingly and forgiveness is always better.
