Lahore981, to answer your query, it is very insulting to refer to them as 'cow piss drinks'. That is because it is used in an inappropriate context and the intention is only to ridicule and mock them.

ayyo!!! kyo nahi samaz(j?)tha thum log! the objection is to the “(insulting to most Hindus)” part NOT to the “cow piss drinkers” part. It’s like saying 'any insulting derivation of Pakistan’s name is insulting to most Pakistanis, implying some Pakistanis don’t consider name calling Pakistan to be insulting.

Lahore 981, at the moment the term will not be removed. I only see it used in an insulting and derogatory manner.

In my opinion, many Hindus are afraid to expose their religious practices (i.e urine drinking) because they fear that the outside world will make fun of them, hence they say being called a 'urine-drinker' is insulting (because it is not common outside India), even though it is true. I find it very pathetic - they should stand up for their religion.

Find me one verse from the Quran or Hadees which says Music is not allowed in Islam.
The only type of music which is disallowed is: music containing sensual, pagan, or unethical themes or subliminal messages which have been categorized as forbidden (in Islam). Music which is meant to seduce the audience is also forbidden. The other type of music which is forbidden is music which arouses one’s own lust or desire, and takes him/her away from the real life.
Is that enough or should I post more about how Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) used to listen to music?

So the actual problem is its “use” not the fact itself, right? If yes, then what difference it would make to allow it or not allow its use? I think it is one and the same thing. Isn’t it that we are trying to restrict something that we don’t consider appropriate ourselves? If yes, then, isn’t is being unfair to Hindus? What is your opinion?
And what would you say about the links, references and proofs that we all posted? Not all those links and websites are Hindu? What is your opinion about this information which is taken from Hindu as wells as non-hindu sources?

^ Lahore, it's something to do with maintaining some decency in GS. If they let you use Co.P.D then someone will start calling you Ca.P.D, polygamist etc which even if you don't mind, brings down the standard.

P.S. mods: If you haven’t noticed, armughal had locked the thread in which he announced the new policy (which is actually no different than the old policy, merely its an annoucement that says “We’re going back to enforcing these rules actively”). This thread was opened to discuss the policy… um, I dont see any need to discuss this as armughal didn’t see any need to discuss this.
It should be pretty clear and intuitive to everyone here that the same proper behavior guppies show to people in real life at work, at school, at home with the family, etc is the same proper behavior that is expected here. I don’t see why there is a need even for discussion.

Okay, I propose a more decnet term instead of the controversial term which is not allowed by GS authorities. Hope this is acceptable........ and this does not include any of those "so called" insulting words for hinduism
Now the phrases used instead will be either of the two, both are Hindi word and can serve almost the same purpose as the earlier terms. Anyone interested in knowing the meaning of hese, please PM me ...... it is not derogatory to anyone YET our Indian friends will understand them. Also, these hindi words are not insulting in any way........thank you

I have mostly seen that Indians maintain the decorum and do not indulge in slang showering.
I propose that the interested one must be allowed to use any kind of words including the abusive ones…..because this way at least the beaten and failures can get rid of complexes.

Nobody cares what names you call them or you're prevented from using. My objection was about the qualifying phrase that armugal added to it which read "insulting to most Hindus". If you don't understand it after this many attempts, you're just wasting time in meaningless insults out of intense insecurity.
