'Urdu' is a Turkish word which means foreign, horde or army. add persian+arabic+Turkish+Sanskrit+english and you get urdu.. Its one of the best language for poetry.... I don't see Indian movies except few old ones e.g. pakeeza, meray hazoor, meray mehboob, it refelects muslim culture and the beauty of urdu language.... Urdu is a language full of charm and elegance!!!

I doubt it, arabic and persian make big part of urdu... all the alphabets of urdu are 100 percent stolen from arabic.... Allama Iqbals poetry is mostly in Urdu, Persian and some in Arabic...
The languages of Turkey, Iran, Portugal, and Spain are full of words of Arabic origin even english language has stolen words from arabic...
