There is no similarity between spanish and arabic. Spanish is a romance language, arabic is a semitic language. There is more similarity between arabic and hebrew than arabic and sanskrit, which is closer to the romance languages since they form the Indo-european super set.
Who is talking about similarity it cannot be similar even if all the words were taken from arabic... take for example one of the most oftern used word in urdu is "shukaria" (Thank you) it is in fact an arabic word "shukaran"
"sabah al-hayri" (good morning) in urdu its "shaba-hayr" and I can list quite a few.. Urdu has lots and lots of arabic and persian words...
Urdu is famous for shairi and the word shairi itself is an arabic word..
Abdali is right. The Urdu language has a lot more Arabic and Persian influence than Sanskrit.
And as Hindi sounds more like Urdu, apart from the lack of grammar, it is fair to say that the wildebeasts have had some success!

Too be honest I feel the same when Indians speak hindi it sounds like marwari... a few times I was listening to "samachar" thats when I realized there is quite a difference between hindi and urdu... Urdu would not be urdu without arabic and persian thanks god its not the case coz I love urdu poetry I mean shairi...

I think its quite the opposite coz Arabic dialect spans all the way to Europe and Africa but you are the only odd one out.

No Arabic in the formal way is beautiful very poetic, the Quran when read is sooo beautiful, so Arabic is one of the greatest languages out there!
yaar, the language you understand is the most beautiful one for you! I've heard others make fun of :
Thamizh as "sounds like pebbles ratting inside a tin can"
Urdu as "once they start clearing their throats they never stop"
Marathi as "closest to Sanskrit, but for the mistakes"
Malayalam as "futile attempts to catch a cold"
Bharathiyar (one of Thamizh's greatest poets of last century) wrote Telugu is the most sweetest language....I've heard Bengali being given that honor elsewhere
Sanskrit ofcourse is Deva Bhasha (language of Gods)
But to me the sweetest is whichever language in which "dinner is ready" is heard
At this point I would love to read a loaded-sentenced, thought provoking, mind-cleansing poetry composed in Sanskrit. Or a sentence, say for example, that would say to another person that he's got something in his beard without letting the third wiser. Like, how about,

nothing at all, but alot of pakis have this mental partiton, and try to align themselves with arabic and persian and deny anything other. Why isnt punjabi, taught in punjab? As u can see look at how some ppl on here, they deny sakrit..pretty sad..and pakis get upset at being called arab wannabes..gee i wonder why? look at bangladesh..they used bengali script..
Salman Rushdie is an EXCELLENT writer. His words are very poetic and have a lot of meaning in them. I didnt see anything that would constitue a FATWA... Now a days, anyone with a beard and the ability to speak thinks he can issue a Fatwa, like THEY are the annointed saviors of Islam. I say, the liberaL Muslims take back their religion by turning all the fanatics over to the US. a GOOD ARSSE WHOPPING AT THE hands pf the "KUFAR" is all they need.
