Is it true that depending upon the shade of haircolor a person uses, he/she can tend to look lighter/darker complexion-wise??? Someone mentioned the theory to me this morning and I found it pretty funny, but I wonder if there is any truth to it.

Yeah Moona, it is very true. Go to Kenya and Uganda. The darker the hair, the lighter the complexion. When was the last time you went out on a date? To see movies, etc.
In Kenya and Uganda people are happy when the kid is of pitch dark color .. we on the other hand look for fair colors.. and have seen woman looking pathetic in dyed blonde hair.. like Michael Jackson who after becoming a ultimate clown by disfiguring his face was suing soem one over discrimination.. dunno why we are ashamed of the very things that are our own and one of those is our color.. try for clean healthy skin thanm trying to become fairer..

I just wanted to say desi girls who dye their hair blonde to look fair end up looking like crap.. there is always beauty in originality..
That's not what i asked - i asked since when do people in Kenya and Uganda celebrate when the kid is of pitch dark colour?
brown girl in blonde dyed hair :nono:
dont know y ..but they do not look good at all.

i knoooooooooooowww :)
sooo many ppl have told me that and red'd go with many clothes
thanxx :)
oh ur welcome xara!..yes, red would suit you i am sure…and xara, remember to use subtle red and not sharp tones in your hair because the sharper the color, the most unnatural it tends to look. best of luck!

deff. subtle just enough so it shows a little by light :)

:rotfl"
Moona, y, would u feel insulted if people thought u were dark-skinned? Just because someone *thought * your were dark doesn't change yr coloring, does it?
Gorey rang ka zamana kabhi hoga na purana, gori tujhey daar kiska? Tera to rang gora hai.......
Xara, go for fushia dear. It's hot and it's hot.
Try temporary hair color gels. Ideal for those wanting to add a lil' pep without all the worries, or juss wanna check out a new look without takin' any irreversible steps.
You can experiment all ya want, make some kick-ass combos etc. and just a shampoo later, it's back to normal. Ice blue and dirty blonde give out a pretty funky effect at night, esp under bright lights. As long as you don't overdo it and go for neon and glitter, which just look gay unless ur a raver.
disclaimer: most will cause your hair to go very, very hard where applied (until washed); so keep it in lil' amounts, highlights/streaks.
