I know a couple that aborted their baby, because they just got married, spent one night together and he left for business the next day, and while he was away , the wife found out she was pregnant (after spending only 1 night together). She aborted the baby because she was embarrased by what ppl will say, "that she got pregnant after just 1 night" ... Allah (swt) never gave them a baby again.. they are about 60 now, and childless.
I'm not implying that Allah (swt) will do that in every case... just telling this story for everyone to be aware.. not to play with nature and Allah's will.
thats soooo sooo soo retarded and sad .. who cares if ppl say somethin and why would somone say i mean theres soo many ppl who do get preg ... and if she didnt want a baby at first place why didnt they use a condom at first place .. killing a baby is sooooo bad anywayz lol yea she was soo stupid
Personally I believe there is a condition between conception and the active foetus that is worth investigating for Muslim-scientists. This will typically be the stages that involve implantation up until when a separate life form becomes definite.
When it changes from an adage to a parasitic thing. Scholars have both argued against any form contraception even the barrier methods and abortion. However, how many of those scholars are aware of the clinical definition of 'abortion' and how it compares to the Islamic definition which in some cases is 40 days after copulation or 120 after copulation with the assumption that conception takes place on the same day as copulation.
Islam also says what is Halal is clear and what is haram is also clear....There is a GREY area in between (an area of doubt)....in which things are not that clear....and this GREY area should be avoided.
ps. considering all the side effects of the pills...i dont know why more couples dont use other forms of contraception such as barrier methods.

Oh yes the analogy of food. When a matter is doubtful it is because the qualifiers that allow us to deem it halal or haram are unknown. Here we have all the qualifiers but we just don't understand them and we shall only understand them when we ponder over them in the light of Qur'an and Sunnah and with latest understandings by the scientific experts. This is my entire case ... nothing more nothing less.
