The biggest punishment for guys with this kind of mentality is to have only daughters so that some FOB who has only been here for a few years can come along and repeat the same filth about their own children.

what I wouldn’t give for a small wedding 
So far I’ve had a big engagement (300 ppl), a big nikah (300 ppl) and a big rukhsati (inshallah) coming up.
I was arguing w/ my husband just the other day to not buy me another piece of gold jewelry for the rukhsati but he just would not listen 
His argument is that even though you don’t want it, we have to “show off” to other people because that’s how unfortunately the society functions, and then you can sell it later. My argument - “screw the people”
