Can anyone tell me the difference between Potohari, Pahari, Mirpuri, Hindko, Punjabi etc.?
Honestly, they all sound the same or very similar to me. It's like the difference between Dakhani And Lucknawi Urdu I think.

There is another programme which I am looking forward to and is supposed to be coming soon - featuring local Birmingham councillors (political debates). I can't remember the name of the programme but in the preview it included people like Salma Yaqoob (yes speaking Mirpuri / Potowari or Pahari), Councillor Raja Shaukar and Councillor Ansar Ali Khan.........
This programme called Taakar was telecasted yesterday at 6.00 pm BST and repeated at 22.00 BST.
Did any one manage to watch it and it was an production of Aapna Channel Birmingham studio.

Yes saw it last night...........and know the presenter and know majority of those who were on the panel and in the audience............
No doubt there will be plenty of more programmes which will be presented from Birmingham and there Bradford studios seem nice.

Did you manage to catch the programme, Harf Surrelay on Friday at 21.00 BST currently it is sheduled for Friday night, unless last minute changes.

Also another thing I dunno if you guys have noticed, but aapna channel is spreading like wildfire within a span of just 1 week, what are geo and DM gonna do about it, I reckon not much lol.

I have been really dissapointed in Aapna Channel.
The production values are not too good and they need to get some decent programming if they wish to survive in this competitive field.
As your comment regarding Geo Television - there is no competition.
Geo is in a different league - they are miles ahead.

Raz, the point I was making is not in the actual production etc, i'm referring to the viewers themselves, lets face it how many azad kashmiri's are clued up in production etc, a lot ot them are so overwhelmed by just the pahari talk that production doesn't even come into the equation. But your right in the actual production and programming, but hey they've started with a clean sheet, how long have geo et al had to where they are today:)

The reason that Aapna Channel is currently showing the same programming is becasue due to them not broadcasting in Mirpur as Cable oporaters have blocked the channel, due to raid that was taken place at Aapna’s Mirpur Office.
They decided that they will start regular programming once they start again in Mirpur, this is so that they would not be required to repeat the programmes.

Yes you are 100% correct in saying that who cares about the production, at last people get to hear the pahari talk.
Please refear to my above post regarding programming, they do have lots of programming lined up.

Aapna Channel seem to be having techinal problems all day today. There has been a frozen picture since this morning - and the fault has still not been fixed yet!!!!

Aapna channel is having uplinking problems, they are working to sort the problem out.
Everything has some theething problems at the start.
