Re: Aapna Channel
I reckon Aap will go before KBC.

Yeah - you may well be right.
Thats good. He has taken his tag partner the old camera man with him.
Don't like the look of Aap TV as mentioned before.
Any idea how long both 'Aap TV' and KBC will last? Look at what happened to channel Panjab - they all start and disappear.
Channel punjab ceased broadcasting due to the fact that its main investor pulled out and plus lack of support from the punjabi community.
Aap TV and KBC TV havent even started broadcasting and you are ready counting how many days it will last.

Yes but you have to bear the future in mind.
What if the main investor pulls out or they have another internal probelms (which can easily happen).
What will happen than???????????????????

Dont think they will have any internal problems (inshallah)

How do you know they will not have internal problems. Do you know their future?
Again, ho wdo you know main investor will not pull out - there may be external factors which may influence their decision to pull out.
Who is this Afsar Group and where are they based and type of business they are in?

Afsar group is a Birmingham based, property group who deals with comapnys that have gone in liquaditation and then sells them off.
This was answered in the news article on Biz Asia.
Aapna channel is history.
It would make sense if a new thread is opened to discuss the new channels which have emerged as a result of closure of Aapna channel.
What is with this channel? I was so eager for its launch only to be VERY disappointed!! It claims its a kashmirir channel and those presenting it are too ashamed to be speaking in pahari? Why???? I'm Kashmiri and proud of our culture and our rich heritage (truely, kashmir is heaven on earth)
Most of the presenters talk in urdu, isolating our older generation *can you not remember the hype when APNA chanel was launched and Kashmiris were proud that FINALLy their dialect was recognised and on national tv! I have to say, I was!!
But overal, the performance of this channel, in terms of presntations, programmes etc is not upto standard!
Bring in kashmiri culture on this chanel, bring in pahari (not the village 'mari tari' lol) but take a more educated stance and present us kashmiris as worthy people!! Despite common view that Kashmiris are uneducated "backward" people, the reaelity is the opposite! Look at birmingham e.g. yes, i believe it was the case that our kashmiris were not pushed into education, but looking at our generation now, i don't think there is a family without a graduate to give roshni to the family/community.
Anyway, bring it back on track, give it some colour and no cheap humour PULLLEZZE!
