Re: Aapna Channel

What a f**king joke and an embarrassment this channel has become.

Re: Aapna Channel

god, how many more s*** channels are going to open. first it was vectone, then dr malik digital, den uncle bava ditta channel (apna), now this rubbish.
its probably going to be the same phone in where calls cost £1 per minute and presenters are stood infront of a green screen and callers are ringing in to read their "shayari". zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Don't worry all these channels which are opening don't think will last for ever i.e. Vectone, Aapna all came and went......so thee new ones will follow suit.

How many more bloody weeks does this channel need for testing? It's about time they started regular programmes rather than this normal music crap they seem to have on all the time.

I agree with you guys, absolute rubbish channel just like dm. if they want to attract viewers then they should start quality entertainment programmes and not show months of rubbish so called test transmission. none of these 3rd class channels have any vision. all they do is show live programmes with dick head presenters and callers get charged £1 per min. It wont last long. just look how many channels have gone. channel east. anjuman, rtv, vectone, channel punjab, dd india, the musik, apna bazaar, dm gold, aapna.
any comments mt abrar??

mr abrar ur information is surely wrong App TV is not aapna channel chec with your sources and please try again , I agree with the guy who said 3rd class channels have no vision but thats surely down to the unwillingess of the asian audience to pay for channels because of this Channels such as aapna channel ( who do have visions but i bet not the fianances ) do not have the required funds to develop in to better entertainment channels. Asians are to fussy simple as ... Aapna is was doing alryt at least it kept the old folk and some of the kids happy.

Another thing is guys instead of being ignorant and arrogant about asian channels how about you give some suggestions of what you would like to see.
E.G , Asian soccer tournaments, or something like a drama on something with youn british asian actors, Give ur suggestions.

We need to help Honest and knowledgeable business men such as some of the members behind the Aapna Team ( the real ones that Aap) ,

Tc

dd india went under due to naff staff…they had no clue, Their Chairman was too blame.

Aapna had issues around their management!

You mock Aap Tv, but what is out there? Geo and Ary, NDTV, 9X etc will be moving to Rootsglobal platform.

You guys that take the piss sound to me happy for your sisters to go out with Indian/Gora’s or Kala’s!

Did you guy’s not read the news? the indians don’t want muslims or apana folk to succeed…So you watch music india..MaTV, Venus TV and the rest of the crap that’s out there…but before you do that read the articles below:

Asian Network investigated for ‘anti-Muslim bias’
The Mail has reported that at least 20 past and present BBC employees, all Asian Muslims, have lodged complaints that its digital radio station, Asian Network, is operating with an anti-Muslim policy.
The claims made by certain individuals also slammed the station for scheduling more Bollywood and Bhangra music, which are more popular genres amongst the Hindu and Sikh communities, over Pakistani or Bengali music for its 500,000 listeners.

Another area of concern raised by past and former employees was of Muslim presenters and reporters being sidelined or sacked from the station in favour of Asians from other backgrounds – mainly Hindus and Sikhs.
This case has now been taken up by Labour peer Lord Ahmed of Rotherham, who campaigns on discrimination issues. He was made aware of the issues several months ago and has since written to the BBC director-general Mark Thompson to investigate the claims.
Now the BBC has taken the unusual step of having the inquiry conducted by an external expert, Stephen Whittle, chairman of the Ofcom-linked Broadcast Training & Skills Regulator. He is believed to be taking evidence from tomorrow.
Lord Ahmed told the Daily Mail: “I have been making these representations to the BBC for the past ten years.”
“I am disappointed that not much has changed.”
“There seems to be a small mafia that is promoting their version of a culture which is contrary to the diversity within the Asian community.”
Back in November, Eastern Eye made sensational claims saying that Mark Strippel was a director of Panjabi Hit Squad while being Head of Music at the station. At the time, the BBC Asian Network refused all the allegations adding Strippel resigned as a company director of Panjabi Hit Squad in August 2004.
A month earlier, the British Asian newspaper highlighted the lack of Pakistani and British Pakistani artists on the radio station’s playlist. It assessed a list of the Asian Network’s last 22 playlists, to the week ending October 28 (2007) which showed
that only about five per cent of songs on them were by artists of Pakistani descent.
The newspaper also pushed the station into an On-Air apology for a sham competition on Raj and Pablo’s ‘Film Cafe’ show.
Hamant Verma, editor of Eastern Eye, said: “What on earth is going on at that station? It is a shame that the hard-work of its talented staff is overshadowed by yet another row about its management, be it the result of incompetent leadership or just plain racism.”

Remember if we don’t support the channel then we will fall back onto the Indian biased crap!

As for show’s such as bava ditta, yes he talks with a stupid voice and and maybe talking crap to your ears…but listen to what he says. He always talks about islam, and respected you family (mum, father, etc). His target audiance is kids 2 to 14.

Dude am agreeing with what you said but Aap TV is not the same as AAPNA channel but i like your perception of things, especially the bava ditta part, PEople on here are moaning about him they dont realise its not aimed at them

I remember the Aapna had a show with a white female..... this got a good response from the youngsters....

when the channel started they had two females (Aapna Britain)

They are looking again for Presenters and other staff, why don't you critics apply, I bet the channel owner will listen up and take your views on board.

If you based in Birmingham, read this weeks urdu post, a free weekly urdu newspaper, you will see that it is mentioned that it is a continuation of Aapna channel.

The article is in english.

Aap still awaits its uplink to be transferred to their bradford studio, and are looking for regular transmission to start no later then 8th August

As far as I know it will be known as Aap TV there as well.

Saw Mr Shafaq and his tag partner (camera man) at Eid Mela in Canon Hill Park. No doubt they will show the mela at somepoint.
