Pasta with shrimps and mixed vegetables…

It always ends up taking two hours… :hinna:
For some reason i find potatoes and veggies harder to make than chicken…

Chipsy.. pasta looks delish!

Humi, it depends…sometimes I don’t cook for couple days, sometimes I am making something very simple and i will be in the kitchen for only 30 mins or even less…sometimes it takes couple hours…so it really depends what you are making…

ok really wanna know exactly what brand of tortillas u used...Plz let me know, i always go to the supermmarket and think which ones would be good for pooris, and can never decide or have courage to try... some tortialls are already cooked to the max, and then there are different types... and i get confused on which brand/type to buy... thanks for the help in advance ...

and do you **deep **fry them for few seconds (as u said ) in a karahi?
or do you fry them lightly in a frying pan with little oil?

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Honestly, I have never bought one brand and never really paid attention to the brand name, all I see is that it is a flour tortilla(white). It is your traditional white flour tortillas. They normally come 10 or 20 in one pack depending on the brand...Anyway, when I am again at the grocery store, I will make sure I look at the brand name....

Yes, you absolutely deep fry them on high heat. I don't have a karahi, I just deep fry them in a deep frying pan

this was posted a while ago in this thread plusha,
i know ppl ask u f or lots of recipes and u may not have time to post all, but is there anyway u can post the recipe for this one when u have time… if u already have posted it somewhere (i tried to look for it in the thread, but didnt see any) let me know of the post…

i could do a search for “mahshi” on internet, but i try to get a recipe from a person who has tried it…instead of getting it from a website, coz u never knwo how its gonna turn out or if some 1 has even tried it…

thanks

thnks so much luci

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

just add in sliced onion in oil + red chilli flakes + ginger garlik paste+ salt + haldi +kashmiri red chilli powder + meat+ water....now just let it cook on slow heat...when the meat iz soft start bhooning it...add it 1 cup yogurt n 1 tbsp coriander pwder + 1 tsp garam masala....in the end add desired amount of cream....garnish with fresh coriander and green chillies!

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

nothing !, rooza tha :)

Are you going to make that for aftari today???

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Alhamdulillah, had my first iftaari today. We open our fasts at a friends house so it's joint cooking. I make a few things and so does my friend. I'll try not to forget taking pics!

Today we had chicken samosay, meetha bhajia, fried cassave, harira soup (moroccan). ANd for dinner oven baken potatoes, mix vegetables, kabab and salad. For dessert I made trifle with pineapple and banana's.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

I need to leave this thread. :bummer:

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

everything looks yummy..but.........:) we have sworn off fried food, salan, and red meat(for ramadan)...it has been 6 months....6 successful months..since hubby came from pakistan...it will take some time for him to adjust... haha....i am not going to give up..... :) he tells me.."whats the point of marrying a kashmiri if she aint cookin the good stuff..."
hopefully we will stay off it forevvvvver!!!!
