Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Sorry, looks like you already made the sabzi. Very simple recipe for all:

Besan Roti:
1/2 part besan
1/2 part regular aata
I used one cup of each.

1 medium red onion chopped finely
a bunch of cilantro chopped finely
salt
red chilli powder
1/2 tsp ajwain
1/2 tsp zeera

knead the dough with water. It will get sticky so coat your hands with some oil and adjust water accordingly.

Then on hot tawa cook one side, flip, brush some oil on each side. You’ll know when it’s done.

Daal
1 cup arhar (toor) daal
4 cups water
haldi, salt

boil above in pressure cooker, or your preferred method. when cooked, add tarka of 1 tsp mustard seeds, 4-5 garlic flakes, 5-6 curry patta, zeera, sliced green chillies. Add some deghi mirch right before u pour the tarka into the daal.

Sabzi
I used one packet of frozen french cut beans
1 med onion chopped
2-3 dry red chillies
1/2 tsp zeera
1 tomato chopped
1 tbs ginger-garlic crushed in a mortar/pestle
salt, haldi, mirchi flakes

fry the onions and zeera. as they turn light brown, add everything else. cook on low covered.

I added assorted sweet mini peppers at the end and tossed them to coat. Done.

I normally don’t like creamy pastas, but I wanted to try something different…made a creamy avocado pasta. Very easy, pretty healthy (I think), and very tasty.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

mango chicken stir fry.....

for the mango, it shouldn't be too ripe or unripe...

Marinate the chicken with a little bit of mango (or mango juice/pulp), salt and pepper and soy sauce, anywhere from 20 minutes and up
bhoon it
when the chicken is cooked, add your choice of vegetables. I had a mix of red cabbage + carrots, as well as bell peppers celery, red onions and scallions. bhoon it on high heat for a few minutes, and then add the mango slices
