Dude KKF…tumhe sandwich ka wrapper nazar nahi aaya? U can clearly see a commercial logo on it. Only invisible ingredient in the sammich that you didn’t miss was the makhan.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
With this I made about 9 tikkis.
2-3 medium size potatoes
1 teaspoon zeera (rosted for few seconds in a pan)
1/2 teaspoon red chillies
1/2 teaspoon whole dhania (crushed)
Salt to taste
Fresh dhania (chopped)
1 Green chilli (choped)
Few tablespoon oil for frying
1 egg and bread crumbs for coating
Now its just the normal process, boil potatoes (i usually add some salt in the water for boiling), let it cool, mash and add all the spices, dhania, chilies, mix well and make tikkis.
Heat some oil, Before frying dip the tikkis in beaten egg and after that in the bread crumbs.
Just fry for 40 -50 seconds both sides until golden brown and its done. ![]()

For the chaat I duno how to give the measurements, as I did just andaze se for 2 small servings.
Boiled potatoes
Chickpeas
Tomatoes
Onions finely chopped (I left them on side for 5 mins with salt and lemon in a plate and washed after that)
Green chillies
3 - 4 pieces of that “pakore” type thing made of besan and pinch of baking powder and salt, i dunno exactly how they are called in urdu. (I made it 1 - 2 weeks ago, and had some left in the freezer).
Cut everything in small pieces, in a bowl mix yogurt with chaat masala, few drops of lemon juice and pinch of salt.
Mix everything together with the yogurt and its ready. ![]()
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
Okay guys I have a few old foodie images to upload. Apoligies in advance for poor quality of image taking; this is steadily improving! Attempted to do a multi upload but image uploader timed out on me and I don’t have the patience to work with it:
Image of Iftari trays I sent to friends houses in 2012. Not sure of what I will do this year with a new bambino. I made:
mixed vegetable pakoras
seekh kebabs
alu tikkis
tomato chuntey
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
This was my dinner the other night. Dum Keema Biryani, Steam roasted chicken, podina chuntey and lemony raita. Photo taken on my phone so not the best.
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
This was my daughters 2nd Birthday cake. I love baking but I really need to get on friendly terms with icing
However it was first attempt with the icing, colouring, shaping and so on and the cake was delish-even my husband had it and he avoids sweet stuff.

An image of the spread from little ones 2nd Birthday.
I basically made kiddie friendly food which included pizza, sandwiches, brownies etc. Children were given food boxes to place food items in so they could move away from the food table and sit down and eat properly.
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
And this was the spread from my 30th Birthday do. I was over 7 months pregnant so tried keeping things simple-ish. We did a burger bar with the trimmings.
The pinky coloured ‘radish mixed’ pickle went down a storm. We have a bottle in the fridge now for the husband to munch on. He uses it with everything-from tacos to daal chawal bless him.
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
I did 80s goodie bags for the guests. I used neon coloured bags, filled them with retro sweets and crisps, a glow in the dark stick plus pacman cookies & 80s decorated cupcakes. This photo was taken at night; so I know my camera is actually really good if I give it a blinkin’ chance (not possible with toddler who likes to have her ‘try’). Quite enjoyed making these and plan to do something similar for my little ones 3rd Birthday InshAllah.
