Shabe, so i used half and half and heavy whiping cream cooked for 30 min or so mixture continue to stay thin not thick :(

I’ve been looking for a good recipe for cornbread! Could you please share yours? Is it the savoury kind or the slightly sweet one? (I’m hoping it’s the latter!)

Yes, it’s slightly sweet. Here you go. Grandmother’s Buttermilk Cornbread Recipe - Allrecipes.com

If you don’t have buttermilk you can take 1 cup of cold milk and pour in 1 tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice. Don’t stir it, and after 5 mins you will see that it has begun to form some curds. Use this as your buttermilk substitute.

Kis ne kaha old fashioned? I make arhar daal all the time, serve with roti, salad and mint chutney.
