Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
I was making my hubby some eggs, and the second one had 2 yolks in it! Does that mean it would have hatched twins? ![]()
So of course, my first thought was, let me go grab my phone & take a pic to post on GS, lol.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
How are these made please?
It's very easy. I make them with a spinach/ricotta filling.
Boil your lasagna noodles....when they are done, drain well and spread them out in a single layer on a sheet pan or waxed paper...pat them dry with a paper towel. The filling is simple: 1 15 oz container of ricotta cheese, an egg, salt, black pepper, your favorite italian seasoning mix, a little bit of minced garlic, grated parmesan cheese and 1 box of frozen chopped spinach that has been completely thawed out and drained/squeezed of all water. Mix it well.
I use a 13x9 pyrex dish...put some marinara/spaghetti sauce in the bottom of the dish first.
To make the rolls, spread a few spoonfulls of your ricotta spinach mixture on the lasagna noodle, roll it up and place it the dish on top of the sauce. When all the roll ups are done, spoon more sauce over them and then top with shredded mozzerella cheese.
Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350F degrees for about 20-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and everything is nice and hot and bubbly.
Very simple recipe!

Your orange chicken looks good, please share the recipe...
Thank you!
chicken breast cut into medium size cubes
1/2 cup flour
salt
blk pepper
red pepper
haldi
baking soda
ginger garlic paste
brown sugar
honey
orange juice
lemon juice
carrots and any other vegetable you want to add.
Mix salt, blk pepper, red pepper, haldi, 1/8 tsp of baking soda in the flour. Add chicken cubes and thoroughly cote them with the flour mixture. in a deep pan, heat some oil, add the flour coated chicken pieces, fry them till chicken looks slightly golden brownish, add ginger garlic paste, saute for few mins, add carrots, saute for another few minutes, add salt and red chilli to taste, couple tbsp of honey, 1/2 cup brown sugar, almost 1/8th cup lemon juice, almost 1 to 1.5 cups of orange juice. stir and let it cook on medium low heat for 10-15 mins. If you find the gravy thin, add some flour mixture you had made for chicken in the gravy, make sure sprinkle little bit of that mixture and stir continuously to avoid any lumps. Enjoy with white rice.
