Made Chicken burgers from Fauzia’s page on facebook;
they were absolutely delicious! I cooked the chicken in a non-stick pan and slitted them slightly on both sides in marination. Make sure not to overcook the chicken to keep it juicy!
Whole masoor dal (brown round lentil) 1 cup
Water (estimated 3.5 cups)
Crushed pepper 1/2 tsp
Pissi lal mirch 1/2 tsp
Haldi 1/4 tsp
One chicken cube
1 medium tomato finely diced
1/2 small onion finely diced
1 tsp heaping lehsan adrak paste
Salt (according to taste)
Dump all of this in a pot and cook until daal is cooked. It should not be too thick or too watery. I run a handheld blender so its a little chunky but mot pureed. Add a good handful of chopped hara dhanya.
Bhaghaar time!!!
2 to 3 cloves garlic sliced fibely
A good big pinch of zeera
Sookhi lal mirch broken into pieces
Hari mirch slices
1 tsp butter
3 to 4 tbsp canola oil
1/2 small onion sliced
So u heat oil and u add the remainder 1/2 onion sliced and u let it fry for a minute or so then u add the lehsan, zeera and sookhi mirch. Fry for a minute and turn off the stove. Add hari mirch and then the butter. Do not let the butter burn so as soon as u add the butter swish it around and add it to the daal. Sprinkle some hara dhanya and a a pinch of garam masala.
Unfortunately, i found out that nutella in UK is not suitable for vegetarian and the company confirmed it! will have to substitute with another store brand next time!
