Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

i just added the recipe for chicken 65 to my recipes sticky in this forum…

stuffed mushrooms are super easy…

start with regular button mushrooms, or baby portabellas…remove the stems and gently wipe out any grit that remains inside the caps…

for the stuffing, I start with plain cream cheese (i like to use the whipped kind, makes it easier to mix) season it with your favorite brand of Italian seasoning spice mix, this is the particular brand that I use

add salt/ground black pepper if needed..if i’m making these for a dinner party, I’ll mix in jumbo lump crab meat as well to make it more decadent.

after your cream cheese is mixed well, put a heaping teaspoon full into your mushroom caps, mound it up nicely. melt some butter and add breadcrumbs and grated parmesan cheese and mix well until all the butter is incorporated. sprinkle a generous amount of the breadcrumb topping onto your stuffed mushrooms.

arrange on your cookie sheet, drizzle a tiny bit of olive oil over and bake at 400 degrees about 15-20 minutes. Mushrooms should be a little soft, but still retain their shape.

sorry i don’t have exact measurements. it’s a very easy recipe and can be adapted to many different flavor combinations!

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Aisha, why didn’t you participate in the food pics competition?

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Actually I took this photo for that competition thread. Before I was so busy, I didn't have time to cook and take a photo. I just did tonight. Saw that the competition is already over! So I posted this photo here.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Oh, sorry about that. I will notify you when we have another competition.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
