Shab and chips, you 2 of all people shouldn’t be asking ME for the recipe…but it’ll be an honor…

RV thanks :bb:

I had 1/2 of a full chicken, 1 cup of boiled cholay.
1 onion + 2 med tomatoes + 4 cloves of garlic + 2" piece of ginger all grinded together. Heat oil, pour this grinded paste and chicken, salt, dhaniya, mirch, haldi and bhuno until oil separates, add cholay and some water, cook on low until done.

Gaia, can I have your onion rings recipe pls?

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

*Corn: *
1 bag of frozen corn or 2 cans of corn
1 medium onion
Salt to taste
Freshly ground pepper to taste
1/2tsp of sugar (If needed)
1tbsp butter and 1 tbsp olive oil

Saute onions in butter and olive oil until softened, but not golden brown. Add the corn, salt, black pepper. And let it cook for 10 minutes. It depends if your corn is already sweet, if not add Half tsp of sugar.

** Onion rings:**
1-2 Onions, sliced into rings

1/2 cup milk
1-2 tbsp hot sauce

2 cups all purpose flour
Salt to taste
2 tbsp of black pepper
2-3 tbsp of chilly powder
1-2 tbsp of garlic powder
1-2 tbsp of onion powder
2 tbsp of paprika
Oil as you would need for pakoras

In a bowl mix the milk and hot sauce together and set aside.

In a separate bowl mix rest of the dry ingredients. You can add any seasonings to this dry mixture, as you prefer. The above ingredients are some of my favorite, hence I added them.

When ready to fry, dip onion rings in the milk mixture then into the flour mixture. Repeat the process to double coat the rings. Place the rings in batches in the oil and fry until golden brown. Drain on newspaper and enjoy.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

this thread is full of noms8-|

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Its just heavy whipping cream, parmesan cheese, basil, salt to taste and black pepper brought to a boil.

One cup whipping cream would take about 1/2 cup cheese and one tsp of dried basil…once it boils and gets thicker…its done!

Serve with angel hair pasta or fettucine.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

WOW! Thanks Reha! Sounds delish!
