Chicken:
1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon paprika powder 3 tablespoons olive oil 2 tablespoons lemon juice salt.
Marinate it overnight or for atleast 3-4 hours. Steam the chicken till it's cooked and then put it under the 'grill' to get the color.
Ruz:
3 tablespoons oil Egyptian rice 2 cups Chicken stock 2.5 cups 1 onion finely sliced 1/2 cup chickpea's 2 carrots grated 1 dried lemon 1 star-anise flower 1 tsp cumin seeds salt red chilli powder. 2 tablespoons butter.
Soak the rice, in a seperate pan heat the oil and add-in the onions cook till light brown. Add the carrots, rice and all the spices and the chicken stock as well. Cook till the rice are 3/4 done. Add the butter, lower the flame and cook for another 5-7 mins.
Garnish with fried onions, pinenuts and raisins

They aren’t small but fatter than our regular basmati.

its sweet rice with all different colours, has amongs the nuts and raisans, gulab jamun, other soft sugary mitai, and i have had some that also have pieces of meat in it too!! Very rich and Very Yummy

Ingred. for base:
125g butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
about 2 cups flour
2tsp baking powder
1.5 tsp vanilla
a little more than half cup milk or cream, choose what you like
*beat the butter and the sugar until fluffy.
*add the eggs one by one while mixing.
*mix the dry ingred. in a seperate bowl and blend them into the butter,egg,sugar mixture and add the milk/cream. Blend it until it becomes smooth.
Chocolate fudge frosting:
120g dark chocolate
150g soft butter
160g icing sugar
2 tsp vanilla
*melt the chocolate and let it cool.
*whisk the butter fluffy ana add the sugar and the vanilla little by little while whisking.
*add the melted chocolate and blend until it looks like a smooth cream.
**if you find it too dry to work with add some cream to it. or if you find it too liquidy add more icing sugar.
*let the frosting set in the fridge for a while before using it.
