Awww Thanks everyone!!! You guys are just being nice.
And white light your always welcome at my house for breakfast, lunch or dinner :mehr:
Hopfully when I get time I’ll type out the recipes that were wanted
But** princess20**, I found the lasagna recipes from my post in another thread
Red Sauce lasagna:
1 lb ground beef
32 oz of red sauce (honestly we use Prego (its a spaghetti sauce))*or less depending how much sauce a person prefers
3 cups mozzarella cheese
3 cups cheddar cheese
3 eggs
1 small red onion
dhania
1lb lasagna
Prepare beef add sauce to it. In sperate bowl add cheese, onion, eggs, dhandia
Layer with sheets, sauce mixture, then cheese mixture and repeat…
400 degrees F for 35-45 min
*very simple to make, but my family loves it everyone differs on the amount of sauce and cheese they add
*corrections: I just boil 2 lbs of chicken and shred it instead of 1 roasted chicken
and also I omit the ricotta cheese (family doesn’t like it) and actually use frozen spinach
but I do have to warn you this is good but its heavy!
^ Oh sorry that's just something I'm used to saying, layman's terms for my family, to differentiate between the two......I also say red or white sauce pizza :)
Sorry for replying so late. Here are the recipies.
**Crepes **
Whisk 2 eggs, ½ cup milk, ½ cup water, and 2 tbsp melted butter until no lumps remain. Add 1 tbsp vanilla and 2-4 tbsp sugar. Gradually stir in 1 cup of all purpose flour, and beat until smooth.
Heat up a pan over medium heat, lightly oil or spray with cooking spray. Scoop and pour roughly ¼ cup of batter. Quickly tilt the pan so that the batter spreads evenly, cook until set, flip and cook the other side.
Filling
I used a Pastry Cream filling; http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Pastry-Cream-2/Detail.aspx and then diced a few ripe strawberries; if you want a bit of a glaze you can toss some strawberries in a tbsp or so of sugar and fruit juice, let set for a few minutes.
Assemble pastry cream, fruit and whip cream on crepe. Fold and sprinkle with powder sugar.
**Carrot Cake-**This is spin on the traditional carrot cake
Mix together 2 ½ cups of white or brown sugar and ½ cup of oil with 3 eggs. In a separate bowl mix 3 cups of all purpose flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 2 tsp baking soda, and 1 tsp cinnamon. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, beat until well blended. Then gently stir in 2 cups of grated carrots, 1 cup of walnut, and 1 cup of canned crushed pineapple (liquid included). Bake in a greased pan at 350 degrees F until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
Taco Salad
Shred lettuce, dice tomatoes, white and green onions, olives, and avocado. Mix corn and black beans with the rest of the vegetables. Meanwhile season and cook ground beef. Layer beef, salsa, broken tortilla chips, and vegetables in any order. Repeat, and finally garnish with sour cream and cheese.
