Kinzz, come over any day It’s quite simple.. I don’t go by strict measurements(just eyeball), doesn’t matter much in this dish..Here’s the recipe with approx. measurements
Dates, pits out chopped 20-25
Prunes pits out chopped 15-20
raisins 2-3 Tbsp
Condensed milk, around 5-6 tbsp or as needed
Marie Biscuits or any tea biscuits 4-5
chopped nuts (I used almonds and walnuts) , handful
dessicated coconut, as needed for coating
Put everything except coconut in a freezer bag and roll it on your kitchen counter.. thump with something heavy( I used a bailan:bailan: ) and roll again until everything mixes. If it’s too dry add condensed milk, if it gets too runny balance with crushed biscuits.
Form into small balls and roll in coconut powder, that’s it =)
** sometimes I soften up the dates and prunes by cooking them for 5-6 minutes in a pan with a 2-3 tbsp of butter, it’s easier to handle.. tastes great both ways.
in a pan heat some oil, add some ginger garlic paste, salt, black papper, and red pepper to taste. Then add one finely chopped tomato and 3-5 tablespoons of tomato puree. Saute’ it for few mins, then add cream or evaporated milk in. Add few leaves of basil and let it simmer on low heat. Keep stiring when simmering. If you want you can thin out the puree and tomatoes by adding little water before you add any milk/cream. You can also make a redured fat version by using regular milk instead of cream.
