Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Well that sounds delicious. Did you make the dough yourself? If yes how?

yes, I make pizza base dough at home. went through so much trial and errors. but the one simple recipe that works for me is as follows.

300 - 350g (2 cups) plain flour [makes 2 large bases]
7g (sachet) - dried yeast
1 tsp salt
1 cup lukewarm water (more if needed)
1-2 tbs olive oil

  1. In a small jug, combine water and yeast. mix well and wait for 10 minutes until mixture is frothy.

  2. Sift flour and salt into a large bowl. Blend in yeast mixture to form a soft, sticky dough. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  3. Place dough in a large oiled bowl. Cover with a plastic wrap. Leave to rise in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours until dough doubles in size. Knock down dough to remove air. Knead into a smooth ball. Continue as required.

  4. Divide it in half and make 2 large pizzas. :e6:

sooooooo simple .

thanks guys :aliyish:

I wanted to take step by step photos … but I got so immersed in the whole process I forgot :hehe:

Next time insha allah.

btw, I thought that pizza was overdone/overheated for most people’s liking, no? :hmmm:

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Intoxicated.. you made me crave home made pizza so thats what we had for dinner

Niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:yummy:***

can you plez post the receipe from A-Z..thanks …

I have already posted the dough recipe in post # 3327. you can also use the frozen pizza bases from supermarket, but I did’t find them as good as home made. or may be ask your regular pizza place if they sell the pizza base seperately.

when the base is ready … you just put all your favourite topping on it (seen how pizza people make them?). and put it in the hot oven (~240) for 16 minutes.

at 12 minutes, take the tray away from under the pizza and let it cook for another 4-5 minutes (16-17 total).

if you have no idea at all about dough>base, toppings and stuff just watch this video for a general idea.

wow!

that looks way more healthier than mine. :hehe:
