I know what a "Phulka" is. Its the Indian term for our Roti & Phulkas are smaller in size & really thin & light & most Indians don't put salt in the dough either.
Draining the rice & all that's called "Saday Chawal" in our language. Never heard of the term "Khushka" before.

You actually did become emotional. Why don't you go visit your family back home. They'll feel nice & so will you. Also Kuch khota hai to paata bhi hai. If you focus on what you gained life automatically becomes more beautiful & after all most of the times aap such kuch unhi behan bhai aur maa baap kliye kar rahay hotay hain. Call them tonight & talk to them & you'll feel better.

i've booked and re-booked and canceled and recanceled my seat 3 times due to various reasons and i'm holding my airline ticket in ma hand as i write these lines trying to rebook. i'll go soon insha Allah...during christmas break :)
my mom N dad are no more with us. they passed away a long time ago. ammaaN when i was 9 and abbaa when i was 15...still a kid back then but i do have sisters and brothers masha Allah and its for them that i go to India every year alHamdolillah. i do call them almost every other day. thanks for reminding and i'll call them tonight as well, insha Allah :)
