Hubby isn’t eating home today so I had to cook for myself. I love vegetarian food and hubs is a meatlover so it was NO meat today!
Simple but oh so delicious chanay aalu topped with lemon, chaat masala and harra dhaniya
with frozen pre packed daal ki roti (they’re so handy when you’re alone and don’t feel like making roti)

ur rice look so nice too in the first pic...although i am no good at it,but the grains seem so long and separate(if u know what i mean...)...what brand rice are those...??
i am on a search for a new brand of rice these days....

I love this brand of rice. Nobody else I know has heard of it so I'm afraid it's not widely available. It's called Palmer Basmati and I think it's better than Tilda and al the other popular brands!
Do you mix your masala and rice and then do 'dum' while making biryani or do you make seperate layers?
I boil the rice seperately and then make layers, the grains always comes out very long and seperate!

Mujhe apni mama yaad aa gayee daal dekh kar! I don’t make this daal at home cuz they’re not really fond of maash ki dal here but I used to eat it a lot in my pre-married days ![]()

Yumm chanay and daal look good uetian and shinoo. I am also going to make daal today (yellow and orange mix kar kay) with chapatis and fruit chaat. Blah, i am so lazy today.

1 bari pyaz ko brown karlain phir uss mein tomatoes 3 med size, 1 tsp white zeera, lal mirch, namak acc. to ur taste,haldi daal kar bhoon lein aur zara sa pani daal dain takay masala burn na ho. Jab tomatoes gal jayen to mash ki daal 1 cup dal dain aur cover the pan.phir thori dayre baad khoob bhoonain..bayshuk thora sa pani b add kr do..Jab daal gal jaye to chutki bhur ajwain daal dain aur adrak bhi bareek kati hui. phir hari mirchen dermayan say slit kr k aur dhaniya bhi daal kar cover kr do..sath he 1/2 tsp kali mirch aur 1/2 tsp pissa garam masala daal do..jub tuk dum pur hai tub tuk bhagaar ready kr lo...1 piyaz aur thori c adrak barreek kaat kur bhagaar laga do daal pur...
