Popular current affairs programme ‘Aaj Kamran Khan Kay Sath’ has had a ban imposed on it by the government.
I loved the way Geo informed the viewers of this decision last night by showing the host walk of the set leaving behind an empty chair and playing the national anthem!!!
However it looks like Geo Television is not going to take this lightly as they have had Kamran Khan on screen all morning reporting the current court case proceedings.
Geo News Office in Islamabad has also this morning been raided by the police!!!
I hope Geo TV deal with this as strongly as they can as I feel that Pakistani Governments should allow a true independent media set-up in Pakistan.
^^ I was just watching Kamran Khan discussing the police attack on the Geo offices in Islamabad. The guy even interviewed several political figures (including a live call by Gen. Pervez Musharraf) and everyone expressed their sympathies for this ridiculous act. They turned the Geo logo black and they're running scrolls showing many politicians' sympathes (most prominently Musharraf's). Even saw the video of the police attacking the staff and facility, it was horrible. They were broke glass doors with their feet and physically encountered with the staff. I wonder how would they feel when they got to know that they got caught on camera.
^^ They asked Geo to stop broadcasting footage of protesters on Constitution Ave. in which the police was showing hitting the protesters with batons etc. I think the protests had something to do with the case of Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhary.
And God, did anyone hear Altaf Hussain’s live call with Kamran Khan about the Geo News attacking. He sounded like a yelling 70-year-old mullah or something and would probably blow away an actor by his emotion morphing skills

if anyone has seen that, it clearly justifies that what these stupid WELL EDUCATED lawyers are doing is completely b*llls**t… Musharaf took a right decision in suspending that one eyed cheif justice!!! He was arrogant, used to pass personal remarks, made decisions as per different parties wanted him to do and was a hypocrite.

People of Pakistan wake up!!! the attack on Geo was also a pre planned attempt to exploit the situation more!!! as we know very well that half of Geo belongs to Benazir… so it is well understood what happened!!!
Aaj, Ary, Indus, BBC everyone was showing the protestotors why ATTACK ON GEO!!! because hamid mir and kamran khan both half their profits settled with the channel itself.
One question: why didnt Shahid Masood comment on anything? because he also claims to say the truth and this time if he came on air to CRY WITH kamran khan and Hamid mir then it would have been hurting his dignity…
Kamran Khan was so frustrated as Musharaf answered his every question. He was not expecting such an brave response from a guy after all what hashappened…
Would you believe that idiot kamran, he said Musharaf’ we are really pleased that you have given this much freedom to our media n stuff and that day when the attack on Geo happened the way he was cursing the government…

Hamid Mir is a living example of it!! First he was at Ary One World!!! how in the hell he approached Osama!!! Read the back issues of local paper dude, you will come to know, how much money he took from US government in flourishing that act!!!
As for now, he is giving out the best performance ever!!! attack on Geo, calling different political parties speakers and getting the government insulted!!!
