Aafia Siddiqui case -- the proceedings

I just pray that she gets the justice... it's not only important for Pakistan but all the liberal, justice loving people of the world...

So which part of the news claimed that she was not a Pakistani citizen (ever)? Please do share your sources with us :)

long ago, read it somewhere - posting on forums is time passing not my life that i remember my sources after a year !

Re: Aafia Siddiqui case -- the proceedings

^ nice try to run from question, anyone can make any false claim but only honest and truthful people can back their words.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui case – the proceedings

This is the best article I’ve seen on Aafia Siddiqui… certainly a mysterious case, with no obvious explanation, and no chance of getting one now. Certainly a much muddier picture than the ideologues of either side think.

The mystery of Dr Aafia Siddiqui | World news | The Guardian

I think it is understandable from a woman who was held in secret solitary confinements for years and suffered physical and mental tortures of many kinds.

Even soldiers returning from war zone go through post traumatic stress disorder. While her ordeal is not even over yet.

I must say that I believe she really is a Taliban/Qaeda sympathizer. But I can not agree with such inhumane treatment for anyone. Crimes she is being accused of are just plain absurd.

dude i am not running from my words, coz this is for loosers & chickens, simply said i don't remember the source - what else you want?

Stop mincing words now, you said this:

FYI: She is not Pakistani citizen,

[/quote]

The case is about her, not her children so focus on what you said about her

lol back then they were ready to defend musharraf if he sold pretty much everything in Pakistan to foreign powers.

yes, today too !

Yazdi, yaar how can you say defending Aafia is a liberal cause. This woman went to Afghanistan, to kill American soldiers. She was not some aide worker. Although I accept her treatment at the hands of the yanks, is unpardonable.

I was just talking to a friend who has returned from afghanistan, he second tour of duty. The stories he was telling about the Talibs, and how they intimidate the local population is truely shocking. Our media simply does not report it.

But what I will say is that there is something realy immoral about selling your citizens for money.

.

Pakistani government in the past handed over the criminals to the US who "committed crime against" the USA or UK.

Why it is that Jihadis f@rt bombs from both ends. When they get caught, then they want Pak's protection?

The reality is that the REAL blame goes on Pakistani Jihadis who have sold their souls to the devil named Ben Laden in the name of our beautiful religion.

Why in the world a Pakistani would pick up a weapon against another country WITHOUT the proper authorization by the government.

It is time to quit living in the tribalistic mindset and move to the 21st century, when ALL of US have to obey the laws of the land.

This bibi Aafia is obviously looney based on her uttering in the open media. Her self-styled Jiahdi life put her in trouble and above all brought shame to our country.

First you commit cross-border terror, and then you run to Pak government saying bachao bachao mujey marta hai. If you carry Pak passport, or you demand international protection from the our gov, then why the heck you commit terror in the first place?

When would we all realize that you can do whatever you want WITHIN Pak, but for Allah's sake, do not commit cross border crimes unless approved by our government and military.

Burqa,

Spot on man. I am so sick and tired of our media making this woman into a hero, yet ignoring thousands of Pakis that languish in jails in Saudi, UAE e.t.c for being poor. How many of our people will boycot Saudi goods, none i suspect. You will never get the Vulcan or that spaced out Dutchman attack the Saudis, its always the yanks.

For the record, I do have reservations that she will get a fair trial in the U.S. But call a spade a spade, this woman is a whacko terrorist, and not some saint.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui case -- the proceedings

Napak,

From your poste, it seems you accept that the woman is a terrorist. You have just made my case.

And you are more likely to get justice from the Yahood wal Nasar, then in a Muslim country. Thats a fact. Mut dost bana, too hee pashchaye ga!!!

Re: Aafia Siddiqui case -- the proceedings

Few hours only to see the court verdict. Arguments from both sides have been completed.
At least we can prey for her.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui case -- the proceedings

Looks like the jury is having a hard time. They spent all day yesterday discussing it without giving a verdict.

Their verdict is expected today, though.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui case -- the proceedings

Sad news. jury has decieded that Afia is guilty.
